Bireuen Police Chief AKBP Jatmiko, S.H., M.H accompanied by Bireuen Regional Secretary, Ir Ibrahim Ahmad, M.Sc., Bireuen Police Assistant I Mulyadi S.H., MM, Bireuen Police Traffic Unit Chief Iptu Mulyadi S.H., M.H and joint TNI/Polri personnel carried out the distribution of red and white flags to motorists.
The activity was ahead of the commemoration of the 79th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia in 2024. The distribution of red and white flags took place at the Simpang Empat Kota Juang Roundabout, Friday morning, August 9, 2024.
Hundreds of red and white flags were distributed to motorists passing through the area, either installed directly on public transportation vehicles, private vehicles, motorbikes and passenger pedicabs.
Bireuen Police Chief AKBP Jatmiko, S.H., M.H said, together with elements of the Bireuen Regency Government and elements of the TNI today we distributed hundreds of red and white flags to motorists. It was stated that the distribution of the flags was free as a form of enlivening the 79th Indonesian Independence Day.
"As well as a form of building a sense of nationalism, love for the homeland and respect for the heroes who have fought for the independence of the Indonesian nation," said the Bireuen Police Chief.
In addition, the Bireuen Police carried out Traffic Education activities and distributed Red and White Flags to motorists who were orderly in traffic on the highway.
The activity, which was carried out on Saturday (10/8/2024) at 10.20 WIB, was led directly by the Head of Traffic of the Bireuen Police, Iptu Mulyadi, S.H., M.H., together with Ipda Sufyani and 10 other Traffic Unit personnel. This action aims to increase public awareness of the importance of obeying traffic regulations and to increase enthusiasm ahead of the celebration of the Republic of Indonesia's Independence Day (HUT RI).
Head of Traffic Police of Bireuen Police, Iptu Mulyadi, S.H., M.H., said that this activity not only increases public awareness of the importance of traffic safety, but also fosters a spirit of nationalism ahead of the Independence Day celebration,
"By complying with traffic regulations, together we can create a safer and more orderly environment," he said.
Iptu Mulyadi explained that in this activity, officers also distributed flags to drivers who showed compliance with traffic regulations. In addition, officers also gave an appeal to continue to comply with traffic regulations in order to create security and order on the highway.
This activity received a positive response from the public and is expected to motivate other drivers to be more disciplined in traffic and increase the spirit of nationalism ahead of the Independence Day commemoration.
