L Eshwar Rao, a resident of Khurda district, has made this miniature of Jesus Christ. He also holds a cross with Jesus Christ. Along with this, two Christmas trees are also made inside the bottle. Rao has used chalk, glass and glitter paper to make this miniature. It took him seven days to make the miniature sculpture.
According to a news agency, 40-year-old Ishwar Rao has been practicing this art for the last 25 years. He also specializes in making miniatures with pencil nibs and soap inside the bottle. Earlier he had made a sculpture of a woman and Hockey World Cup on pencil nib during Women's Day and Hockey World Cup.
First miniature made in 1999
Rao first made a miniature of the Taj Mahal on chalk in the year 1999. He gifted this miniature to his teacher. He told, “I started practicing this art when I was studying in the second standard. When I was in 12th standard, first of all I made a miniature of Taj Mahal and gifted it to my teacher. He was very impressed with my art and introduced me to the principal of BK College of Arts. He also liked my art very much.
4 years practice of stone art
Artist Ishwar Rao told that I practiced this art on stone for 4 years after chalk. In 2011, Rao started the 'Ishwar Art and Craft Social Foundation', where he trains students for free while continuing to make miniature arts.
