To imagine that our present confidants, friends, lovers and even family members may someday get us broken is one reality we struggle to admit, and even when admitted, we give it no considerable attention. Humanly speaking, no solid relationship characterized by years of intimacy, love, care and secrecy will anyone expect disappointment from. Nevertheless, every beautiful experience in human relationship does not completely influence future outcome. Therefore, that it is all well and good in your relationship does not dispose the likelihood of latter disappointment and betrayal. To rule out the possibility of encountering disappointment in any relationship you are into is simply a preparation for terrible heartbreak when it comes unexpectedly. No one anticipates disappointment however we must learn to create allowance for eventualities in all of our relationships.

My message is not an advocacy for a pessimistic mindset but a message intended to create an awareness of man’s humanity; to let you know that no matter how good, sincere and well-meaning a person can be there is still a weakness in him. The best of men is still a man. Some of those who broke us were honest and sincere people with good heart and with no plan to ever do us bad but it happened anyway. I do not justify their action but a genuine assessment of yourself may remind you of that instance you caused someone pain in a bid to satisfy your sincere desire. Therefore, the understanding of the weakness in man is a posture we must maintain to guard our emotions from being shattered to the point that makes forgiveness difficult and relationship irredeemable. In conclusion, always remember that Good people disappoint just as bad people do. The good people that break our heart are not necessarily evil they are simply human beings acting out their humanity.
