A family is the smallest unit in a society which consist of a father, mother and the children. Family can either be extended or nuclear but for the course of this contest I will be focusing on the nuclear family.
Should Mothers Be The Ones With The Sole Responsibility To Take Care Of The Children?
The answer to this question is NO. Mothers should not be the ones with the sole responsibility to take care of the children. Because mothers are not the only one that gave birth to the children. The both parent were involved in birthing the children so the sole responsibility should not be left for the only for the mother instead the both parent are needed for the proper and appropriate upbringing of the children.

Should This Practice Still Continue?
The practice that mothers or women alone should be left take care of the children should not continue, because it's a myth mostly in parts of Africa that mothers should be the ones with sole responsibility because the man( husband) is the head of the family and mostly the breadwinner in the family. I will like to say this is a fallacy and this mentality should be deleted from us.
Is There Advantages When The Male Gender Take's Care Of The Children Also?
The answer is YES. There are so many advantages that comes with the male gender taking care of his children, which includes
- When the father takes care of the children it's improves connectivity of the children with their father (father and child relationship) they will be free with their father.
2),When father takes care of the children it also allows the mother have time for herself and the home.
3)When the father takes care of the children it brings happiness because there's division of labor no one will be overwhelmed and responsibility won't be lopsided.
4 ) when the father takes care of the children,they tend to perform better in all ramification especially morally.

What's Your Take On The Contest Topic?
My take on the contest topic is that both parent should be involved in taking care of their children. So that there will be proper upbringing because there will be effort from both the father and the mother bringing about excellence results in the children.
Conclusion
Both parent should be involved in their children lives, it's a responsibility for both parent not one being more responsible than the other.
