Greetings to you all fellow steemians in @steemfamily community. I am delighted to participate in this contest organized by @peachyladiva
On the topic should mothers be the one with sole responsibility to take care of the children?

Mothers alone should not be the only ones with the responsibility of taking care of the children; The children needs care from both parents mother alone or father alone can't give the required amount of care expected for the children to have, as the saying goes two hands are better than one and a tree can not make a forest. So, the responsibility of taking care of the children is on both parents not just the mother.
The practice of mother's alone with the heavy responsibility of taking care of the children should not continue; God created the woman to help and assist the man not for the man to leave the responsibility to the woman alone.
There is advantage if the male gender takes care of the children also. The children will grow up feeling the love of both parents, it can help them to be more attentive even in classrooms knowing they have both parents taking care of them and won't want to let the parents down. Also, for not over thinking mom alone or dad alone taking care of me which may cause early hypertension.
My take on this is that the mothers alone should not be the one with the sole responsibility of taking care of the children.

Conclusion

Parents both mothers and fathers should try and join hands in taking care of the children because children are gift from God and the responsibility of both parents to take care of and God will ask parents on the last day on how they take care of their children.
