What does the word “love” mean? Love has been described as the greatest need humans have. From the cradle to the grave, people strive after love, thrive in its warmth, even pine away and die for lack of it. Nonetheless, it is surprisingly difficult to define. Of course, people talk a lot about love. There is an endless stream of books, songs, and poems about it. The results do not always clarify the meaning of love. If anything, the word is so overused that its true meaning seems ever more elusive.
There are four types of love- phi·leʹo, which is the first type of love and it means “to have affection for, to be fond of, or to like (as one might feel about a close friend or a brother),”. stor·geʹ is the second form of love and it is the love that exists between family members. Eʹros, is the third type of love and it stands for romantic love between the sexes. The fourth type of love is a·gaʹpe and this is the principal type of love that makes us be willing to do all we can even to die for our loved ones. So tell me, what do you think?
