My New Year Celebration Contest.

Greetings everyone, this is my entry post to @uzma4882 contest about how we spent the new year celebration and in this post I will be sharing with you all how I spent the new year celebration. My family and I basically celebrate Christmas celebration more, new year celebration is always a time of reflect and focus on the goals ahead for my family, we were majorly at home during the new year and enjoyed each others company, we watched TV and ate a lot of foods. The celebration still extends to the next day which was on a Sunday, it was the first Sunday of the year and a time to go to church and be thankful for what God has done. Many died last year from covid but the Lord spared our lives and keep us safe till the new year and also despite the economic crisis we lived in abundance. So it's worth celebrating. My family and I went to church on Sunday to give God thanks for all his doings.

My church holds three services every Sunday, my daughter and I woke up late so we couldn't join my husband for the first service, we later went for the second service which lasted for 2 hours and came back home. When I got home I made my daughter's meal and served her while playing her cartoon for her.

After I fed her, I left her to watch her cartoon so I can focus on other things, I went to do the dishes and also prepare lunch for my family, as at this time my husband is not back from church as he usually stays for the three services at church. I prepared the meal, had my lunch before my husband arrived. He immediately told us to get ready as we at going out to go and see some family friends. We got to the car and went with him.

We got to the house and everyone was so happy to see us, they all tried to carry my daughter but she didn't let anyone carry her, she was doing me and my mummy alone. Lol. We had a great time with them. When it was time to serve us, I was told to go to the kitchen to serve us as we are very free with each other. We ate garri and ogbono soup, a food which is common to the eastern part of Nigeria. It was really a delicious meal and I enjoyed every part of it. It was time for us to leave as my husband does not like driving in the night. So we said our goodbyes and left. My husband just got a new office which is not far from the place we went so I convinced him to drive down to the new office. Though we couldn't enter because the whole place was Locked but I was able to see the new office and we left for home. We were so excited as we drive back home and spoke about various things on our way. We weren't hungry when we got home, so we just had our bath and retired to bed and the next day was work day, no more new year celebration as work has started.
