Some of us Steemians in the Upper East Region of Ghana decided to come together to organize a football match between we the Steemians and St John Bosco college which is a Teacher Training School.
Our main reason for organizing the football match is to promote steem to the students and staffs of St. John Bosco students.
From our research we have realized that If we are able to recruit some few members from St. John Bosco it will really be a big plus to the steemit community as a whole since it is a tertiary institution.
The match will be played on the 14th of this month since they are the School will be celebrating their 90th anniversary on the 14th. So on that day it’s really going to best opportunity for us to promote steem since many prominent people in the region will be at the occasion.
The name of the team is Steem -fc it was formed by @njaywan which I’m fortunate to be part of the part. We have played over 5 matches since the team was formed.
Which I featured in all the matches. Today Steem fc is one the popular teams in Navrongo. We are even planning to register the team an upcoming regional league which will commence in December. The main motive is promote steem in every corner of the region which we see participating in football matches can help us promote steem faster and easier.
We also make sure we train 5 five times in the because we see our team to be a professional team even though the purpose for forming the team was for promotional work.It is our hope that we can win our first major trophy so we can share it with our fellow Steemians all over the world on this noble platform.
I see sports to be one of the major areas where we can use to promote steem since now most of the youth now like sports. In Ghana the most popular sports is football that’s why we formed football club to take advantage of it.
