Report : Socialization Activities About Steem Blockchain Through Tree Planting and Education Quality

This post is a report on STEEM For SDGs activities that have been carried out successfully in the third week of September 2021. The activity that we carried out was the "Tree Planting Movement" with the theme "One Tree for 10 Breaths". This activity is a form of implementation of the Steem For SDGs activities that we have planned since August 2021.

This activity is a form of promotion of the steem blockchain which was initiated on the basis of the values ​​and concepts developed through the Steem for SDGs project. Trees are the most important part of human life. Trees can support the sustainability of ecosystems, especially providing oxygen for our lives.

See how we carry out socialization activities and introduce steem blockchain through tree planting activities. A number of documentations will present our hard work in running this program. Steem for SDGs will continue to be committed to carrying out promotional activities and expanding the network in a way that we develop structurally and organized.

Beneficiary Assessment and Survey Stages

We plan to carry out this activity in one of the learning centers (Early Childhood Education / PAUD). Our team in the field has previously conducted a survey of several learning centers and kindergartens in Lhokseumawe City and North Aceh. After discussing and reviewing, we finally chose one of the Early Childhood Education Centers / PAUD located in Mane Kareung Village, Blang Mangat District, Lhokseumawe City.

On Sunday, I had the opportunity to directly inspect the location of the PAUD where we will carry out socialization and tree planting activities. In the afternoon, @pojan and I contacted @palang to go to the school location. The location of this school is not far from @palang house, so he became our guide to go to the school location.

In the afternoon it was drizzling rain, me and @pojan went by motorbike from Samudera sub-district. The distance from my house to this school is about 20 Km, or it can take about 30 minutes. From the center of the capital city of Blang Mangat, this school is about 5 Km. Even though it was raining at that time, it didn't dampen our enthusiasm to conduct a survey.

The road conditions at that time were very muddy, we had to pass several lane speeds that were enough to test our adrenaline. Slippery and muddy, that's the description of the path we took to get to the school location. This school is located in Mane Kareung Village, Blang Mangat District, Lhokseumawe City. This village has one of the most popular eco-tourism, namely rice field tours with a bridge hundreds of meters long over rice fields.

The school building is made of concrete/brick and has two classrooms. This school has 40 students consisting of children aged 4-5 years. The area of ​​this school yard is about 20x40 M square. The area of ​​the yard is very suitable for planting trees to support greening in open spaces.

Recapitulation Stage H-1

After surveying the school location, on Monday afternoon @teukumuhas and @pojan immediately bought a number of equipment for the day of the event. First, we went to a tree seed selling point in Langa Village, Syamtalira Bayu District, North Aceh. In this place, a variety of tree seeds are sold, both types of flower trees, fruit trees or shade trees.

After that, we went to the traditional market in Keude Peunteut to buy fertilizer and trash cans. In the evening @guski and @pojan went to a game shop in Lhokseumawe City to buy some learning media. This learning media consists of visual media and game media that can be used to support the learning process.

The total cost that we use pre-H-1 on the day of the event is One Million Two Hundred Forty Thousand Rupiah.

Implementation of the Socialization and Tree Planting Program

The socialization and tree planting activities started in the morning until noon. The total participation in this activity was 10 people consisting of the STEEM for SDGs team and volunteers. In the morning we gathered at the center point of the district. The entire team and volunteers had to travel a distance of 5 Km to get to the location by motorbike.

The entire team, volunteers, students and teaching staff seemed enthusiastic about participating in the socialization and tree planting activities. The following are the achievements resulting from the implementation of this activity:

• Implementation of tree planting activities
• Education about proper hand washing to students
• Education and learning to keep the environment clean
• Education and socialization about the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals
• Socialization about the Steem community for SDGs
• Introducing Steemit to teachers
• 2 of our volunteers have joined Steemit (@chnisa and @nanilayusri)

The costs that we have used on that day to support the implementation of the activities are

• Volunteer Transportation and Accommodation Fees : IDR 500,000
• Lunch : IDR 270,000
• Total : IDR 770,000
• Overall Total : IDR 1,290,000 + IDR 770,000 = IDR 2,060,000

The total funds that we have used to support the implementation of this program are two million and sixty thousand rupiah. This fund is sourced from the donation of the entire STEEM for SDGs team to the @steemforsdgs account. Donations and funds obtained on the @steemforsdgs account are used transparently, fairly, honestly and on target.

Such is the report on the Steemit promotional activities that we have carried out through the socialization program and tree planting in the early childhood education park. As a result we have introduced this very amazing project to the community around this school environment. Steem has a big influence on creating a better standard of living and protecting the earth, let's do it!
