Greetings Everyone,
Rasheed is here again but this time we would be deviating from the normal lesson posts we make. Today I would be sharing my power up activity and the importance of power ups, my steem goal and how I have worked to achieving that goal. It is a short term goal and I'm aiming for more than that but we have to start small. This post is to act as a motivation to readers to promote power ups.
Before power up, I had 3277.78 sp then I decided to power up my earnings in the past 5 days which is 58.8 steem
After the power up, I now have 3336.6 sp cumulative and still retaining my club75 spot.
My Steemit Goals
In the long run, My goal on Steemit is to achieve a very high reputation and when I say this, I want to be someone who people can look to his account for motivation as steemit requires zeal and motivation for one to keep going.
To continuously drop high quality posts everyday whether steem is bullish or bearish, I won't weaver so I can establish an account I can be proud of as I am sort of a perfectionist.
In the Short run I hope to achieve dolphin status (5000 sp) as soon as possible and I made adequate plans to achieve that of which my plans were going well until SBD left us. With the engagement challenge, I planned to do my best and multitask till I amass a huge amount of SBD to convert to steem but now that SBD is gone, I would have to achieve this goal the hard way.
My weekly posting & Engagement Activity
I also do my best by commenting, voting and post regularly. To be completely honest, I'm doing Steemit for the fun and joy I derive from it with rewards as an added motivation but due to my busy schedule these days, I have very limited time to post hence my 1 post a day because I pour my heart into those posts especially the lesson/ learnwithsteem posts. I also give my cover photos and titles a really nice format and design because they are part of the things that attract people to the post.
Engagement by voting on people's posts and showing them some motivation by commenting is really important. One might not get curated but seeing people engage on their post is enough motivation to let them know that there are people who are interested in his/ her work and that would keep the author happy. I also avoid anything relating to plagiarism that's why I mostly create my own pictures but from time to time I do get some copyright free images from Flickr, Shutterstock, wikipedia commons and Pixabay.
Reasons Why You Should Power Up Steem
Steem power comes as a result of locking up your steem on the blockchain. As we lock up this steem, it adds to the coin's value since it would also be considered as you HODLing the coin. It also gives you more influence on the platform as the higher your steem power, the higher your influence on the platform and this would be very beneficial to you in both the long and short run.
On steemit, the higher ups give priority to those who are actively powering up either 100% or 75% and above of their steem so if you want more support, powering up majority if not all of your steem is one of the things you need to do. Finally there is also this joyous feeling when you are holding a standard amount of steem that's one of the reasons I want to be a 5x dolphin or Atleast an Orca but it definitely won't be an easy mission.
Conclusion
I hope I was able to atleast atleast motivate you all by tell you my motivation and drive as to why I keep working hard. It's been a hard task living off $4 as it makes my goal unattainable that's why I am gunning for higher curators, I shall stay consistent and with hope one day SBD would come back too. Thanks for reading ⭐

I’ve realised that most of the time people who don’t like power ups think that when you power up the amount of steem you have powered up doesn’t belong to you anymore, which is define not the case.
That’s rightly said. Your cover photos was what prompted me to have a look at your blog in the first place and I must say you do well in designing your cover photos.
I was wondering how you make your dividers. Do you use an app or a code?
Can you please share with me.

Sorry for the late reply man. It really has been a busy day. I downloaded some line dividers while I got the rest from my friends on Steemit especially this green weed shaped one
