Hi great steemians, I trust we are doing just fine. I bring to us a step by step steem purchase process and power up.

I joined steemit with the mind set of making money alone from the platform, without any thought of investing in the platform maybe due to the personal fears I had on online platforms.. But due to the knowledge I gathered from SteemitCryptoacademy I had a good knowledge of Blockchain and it's workings and I really enjoy the platform now..

So I marketed 13SBD and got 200steems were each steem price was 0.06689steems.

Below is a step by step process of marketing SBD for STEEM.

• First open your wallet section, and the page below will come up.

• Looking at the above picture I had 146SBD. I proceeded to clicking the drop down arrow and the below page came up..

• looking at the above screenshot I had 287SP and 49steems before clicking market. And note since I want to make an instant buy that is why I had to click on the market button, but if I wanted to place a buy or sell order on the order book, I would click the trade instead of market. Since am making instant buy I'll click the market button. And the below page came up.

• Now since am buying I'll be using the left hand side of the page which is the buying side. Now looking at the buy blog, you will see Price, amount of steem and total SBD needed.

Let me explain what they mean?

Price: this is the current market price of steem

Amount: this is the amount of steem you want to buy.

Total: this is the total SBD needed to purchase the steem you wish to buy.

So I input 200steem in the amount section and the total SBD needed was 13.

• It is worthy of note that you can not proceed to buying your steem even after filling the buy log when you have not sign into the platform.. so like I pointed an arrow in the afore-picture. You have to sign in with your username and active key before proceeding to clicking the Buy steem button.

• The picture above shows a successful purchase of my 200 steem.

N/B: The total amount of SBD needed to buy a certain amount of steem depends on the price of steem and SBD at the buying time.

• the above picture shows that the purchase was successful. And I now have 249 steems as against the 49steems I had before the trade.

Step by Step Power up of my 215 steems.

• So I click the drop down arrow beside the available steem.

• Then the below page comes up.

• I then input the amount of steem I want to use for the powering up. Which is 215 in this case, then click ok.

• the above page comes up and I confirm the transaction again before clicking the Power up button.

• by clicking ok it means I have confirmed the transaction.

• Immediately, my Steem Power changes from 287 to 502. And with this I can atleast exercise some voting strength on Post.

I still hope to be carrying out my upvote on a regular basis so to exercise much more voting strength on Post.
