Delegation Is Not Just For The Community. It Is For US. WE ARE The COMMUNITY. Let’s Power Up And Lets Delegate.

Delegation is our way of supporting the community to support ourselves. It involves lending some of STEEM POWER to your community to help support the communtiy and support yourself. I think the word is self-explanatory in itself. Most steemians do not delegate because they think delegation just gives their STEEM POWER to the community and that does them no good. What you should remember is that YOU are the community and the Community is you.

We post in the community hoping for support right? Now where do we expect the support to come from? You could say curators but the Community curation account is the next best thing. Besides, curators love to support communities that make effort to support themselves. My own country representatives from @steem-ghana remind us of this always. What support can you get from a community curation account that doesn’t have enough STEEM POWER to support you?

It is the 100SP I delegate and the 50SP you delegate and the 1000SP they delegate that will build up the community curation account, grow the community and give us better support. Curators love communities that can support themselves. That is not to say they don’t support such communities.

One thing you would observe among us is that you’ll see steemians with STEEM POWER just wasting away in their account. Some Steemians for reasons known known to them have STEEM POWER just sitting in their accounts not used for voting or anything that could make changes but still don’t vote or even if they do, aren’t able to vote the maximum they can. If this steem Power is delegated to a Community Curation account, it will be put to good use to support your own posts and the posts of your friends and members of the community. It is a win-win for everybody.

I have been occupied with projects and exams for school the past couple of days and haven’t been very active lately due to reasons beyond my control. Meanwhile the STEEM POWER I have delegated to communities is utilized to vote and support other steemians despite my inactivity.

We should also try as much as we can to vote and engage in people’s post. As we want votes and comments, we should try and give same to other people. Give what you’re asking for. Try as much as you can to power up and no matter how small your SP, vote on other people’s posts.

Do unto others what you wish to be done unto you

Delegation also earns membership in some communities. It makes your post more likely to be supported when you’re delegating to the community in some communities. This is not to say your posts are not going to be supported but you have greater odds of being selected for support when you’re delegating. Besides, some communities like the @promo-steem community rewards people who delegate from part of the rewards depending on how much you delegate.

Steemit has given me a family and you too. We can’t always depend on support from curators and so we need to start funding our support ourselves by delegating to community curation accounts to support us. Lets Power Up and grow the community curation account SP by delegating so that it can give us better support. WE ARE THE COMMUNITY AND THE COMMUNITY IS US.
