National wealth refers to the natural, human, physical, economic, etc. resources of a country, which contribute significantly to the development and success of the country. That is, the gas, coal, oil, forest land, agricultural land, railways, roads, electricity, various infrastructures and technologies, education of the people of the country, medical treatment, skills, industrial establishments, etc. of a country are called the national wealth of that country. A country that has more national wealth is more developed.
My country is Bangladesh. Below are discussed what are the significant national resources of Bangladesh:
Natural resources can also be called one of the national resources because a country that has more natural resources is more likely to develop.
Natural gas: Natural gas occupies an important place in the national resources of Bangladesh. Which is making an important contribution to meeting the country's energy needs.
Coal: Bangladesh is home to five coal mines, with limited coal extraction but contributing to the country's energy sector.
Shrimp and Hilsa: Bangladesh produces a lot of shrimp and Hilsa, which is exported to earn foreign exchange.
Sundarbans: A lot of forest resources are extracted from Sundarbans, Sundarbans is also known as the largest mangrove forest in the world.
Water Resources Bangladesh has many rivers and reservoirs, from which water is used for fisheries and agriculture.
Rice :The main food crop of Bangladesh is rice, which meets the demand through production in our country.
Jute and Tea: Jute is cultivated in large quantities in Bangladesh, and the products made of jute are of high value in the country and abroad. There are more than 150 tea gardens in Bangladesh, which are also exported to meet the needs of the country.
Other Agricultural Crops: Maize, wheat, potato, Diaz, vegetables etc., are grown in Bangladesh, which contributes to meeting the country's needs.
Bangladesh is a populous country. So many people are working in other countries, sending a lot of money from there to the country. Who is contributing the most to the economy? On the other hand, in their own country too, the youth are working hard and contributing to the national economy.
Bangladesh is one of the largest exporters of garments in the world. Bangladesh earns a lot of foreign exchange by exporting garments and leather goods, which contributes greatly to the country's national economy. Again, due to the establishment of industrial factories in the country, many unemployed people got employment, thus reducing the unemployment rate.
A financial asset is essentially a paper or contractual claim that does not directly reflect ownership of goods or services. E.g., bank account, stock exchange, bond etc.
National wealth, on the other hand, is what determines the real economic value of a country. For example, natural resources, human resources, physical resources, etc. Therefore, domestic financial resources are not included in the national wealth of the country.
- Public awareness should be created to ensure fair use of national resources.
- Plant more trees and protect forests.
- Enact and implement necessary laws and policies.
- Development of improved infrastructure and utilization of technology. Indulgence should be reduced and resources should not be wasted.
- Waste of resources can be prevented by reusing and reprocessing waste resources.
- Fuel consumption should be economical through the use of advanced technology, etc.
