Something strange happened once in my village here in Nigeria.
You know most people's source of livelihood is farming. Okay, so a farmer planted plantain during the farming season and when it was time for harvest, he harvested cocoyam.
Strange right? You may not believe me but trust me, it actually happened. The whole village was shocked to their bones. How can something of this nature happen? People said the man should be driven away from the village..
How could you plant plantain and end up harvesting cocoyam? No be juju be that?
There was no way he would be allowed to stay in the village again. If he can make a plantain to turn to cocoyam inside the soil, it means he was capable of doing anything in the village. Nobody was prepared to lose his or her children, wife, sister or livestock..
Just as the chief was about to make his final proclamation, I felt a tap on my shoulder. It was my sister. I cleaned my eyes to be very sure I wasn't dreaming but unfortunately, it was a dream. 😅
I was so disappointed. It would have been a thing of history for someone to plant one thing and end up harvesting a different thing but woh, such things only occur in the Dreamland..
