atmosphere of rice field area after flood

a few days ago the North Aceh area was hit by floods, which can be detrimental to the local community, especially for people who are working on their rice fields in the fields, the planting season is almost ready, but everything is in vain due to the disaster that hit the residential area.

due to heavy rain and a lot of deforestation to be used as plantation land so that when it rains it quickly flows into residential areas, what's more, rivers adjacent to residential areas that are not made embankments so that water easily overflows and causes flooding when heavy rain falls and is very detrimental to the community.

every year the community experiences the same thing and results in very large losses, currently the government needs attention to overcome flooding such as the need to make embankments on the banks of rivers and clean rivers to smooth the flow of water.

The Pirak Timu community in North Aceh district, Aceh province experiences flooding every year, it cannot be targeted and it is common to experience similar things, the rainy season is usually September - December which is included in the rainy season, and often experiences flooding, but there are also other months such as February which is predicted to be the dry season but there are also floods, so that to target planting in the fields there are often crop failures, especially until now the cultivation of rice fields relies on rainfed due to the absence of irrigation channels.

The community with a livelihood as farmers and the vast area of ​​rice fields in the village, only surrender and continue to try to continue farming in the fields which are currently entering the planting season, the fertile rice that grows and always cares for it to get good results, but it disappears again with being submerged in water for almost a week which causes some of the rice to die, especially the rice that has just been plant and just give fertilizer so it is very easy to die when flooding occurs.

the losses experienced by the community when flooding occurs and must find capital again to start the nursery and replanting process, it is very unfortunate that the green garden dies instantly, usually when flooding occurs it recedes easily and the rice plants do not die, but this time the heavy rain in the mountains and flows heavily into residential areas and recedes slowly, as I said due to deforestation and many logging to be used as gardens, the water flows freely into residential areas, hopefully this year with the new government there will be serious attention to overcome flooding.
