One of the novels by Viona Bella Rosalina, entitled Blossom Tears.
WHEN still in white and blue uniform, there is a special magnet that attracts Viona Bella Rosalina to struggle with the world of literacy. At that time the purpose of writing was only one, namely to look cool. With the script still crawling, a woman of Javanese blood tried to take part in several writing competitions at that time, but nothing worked.
His determination to look cool by writing doesn't stop there. Starting to enter high school, Viona actively participated in writing seminars and tried to participate in the making of anthology books until she was able to qualify as a contributor to several books.
"In the past, when I recently tried it, most of my works were rejected, but that's okay," said Viona Bella Rosalina, a student of the Communication Studies Program [Malikussaleh University] (news.unimal.ac.id).
At that time, Viona was only active in writing poetry and short stories in the fan fiction genre. His love for East Asian countries—such as Korea and Japan—made him often write stories with characters and settings in the country, even his inspiration for writing poetry was also obtained from K-pop and J-pop songs, such as Yoon's song. Mirae, Sondia, Yoasobi, Masaki Suda, and others.
Viona's spirit felt like it was being charged when she started joining the “Theater: Dramatic Arts and Poetry” Club at school. With her minimal abilities, Viona has received quite a lot of support and appreciation from her supervisor and club members, making her more confident. "After my writing was appreciated by my supervisor and friends, I became more confident in participating in various competitions," said the 2nd child of 3 siblings with a happy smile.
In 2016, Viona participated in the National Student Art Competition Festival (FLS2N) at the high school level, which successfully passed to the provincial level to represent Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra. But unfortunately, he failed to go to Manado because he did not make it to the national level. As for the failure that Viona got, it didn't make it a barrier to keep going. "I am increasingly challenged to write better," she added.
Myriad achievements
What Viona said seemed to be a very strong spring being pulled. After a while, Viona won several competitions, such as in 2017, she won 2nd Place in the National Level "Fire" Poetry Writing Competition by Lasaripi Publisher, 1st Place in the Mini Story Writing Competition with the National Level "Heroism" Theme by PPMPI, Champion 1st Poetry Writing Competition at SMAN 1 Lubuk Pakam Art Performance, 1st Place Essay Writing Competition at SMAN 1 Lubuk Pakam Art Performance, 1st Place Poetry Writing Competition with the National Level "Derma" Theme by Lasaripi Publisher, and in the following year succeeded in winning 1st Place in Collaboration Mini Stories with the theme of Longing held by the Paradigm Image Community.

"I was pessimistic because I don't have experience writing film scenarios, but I was told to try it first, and the result was Alhamdulillah."
Still continuing, Viona's passion for writing has not been extinguished since she is already in college. Although currently, she is more busy working as a layout and editor at a semi-major publisher, Viona is still trying to be able to take part in several competitions, although not as often as before, especially now she is also focused on starting an AdSense blog.

For 2022, Viona is also processing her new book for publication. "Just you wait," she said.
Viona also admitted that her hobby of writing brings a number of unexpected benefits, such as making money, increasing relationships, increasing experience, and so on. “I learned a lot from those things. The most important thing is to be passionate and believe in yourself,” said Viona. According to him, failure is a common thing and needs to be tried. "The point is you have to believe in yourself because art is relative," concluded Viona.[M]
