Greetings to my fellow Steemians in STEEM FOR BETTERLIFE community , trust you all are doing well wherever you are reading this post.

It's my pleasure taking part in this awesome contest organised by @klen.civil with the aim of showcasing markdowns on the title One day with your family.

Foreword

Family is everything so they says, if you're a from a family that love and care for you then it's obvious you won't feel okay spending a day without them. I love writing from experiences and this post is such. I love my family to they core and so they do even though it's been long since we unite yet the bond still exists.

An American Writer called Richard Bach once say and I quote:

"The bond that links your true family is not one of blood, but of respect and joy in each other's life.” –
Richard Bach

This is so true and happens to be my favorite family quote, I so much love and believe in it.
In this post, i'll be sharing with you all a day with my family, brothers to be precise and not parents involved, such a memorable day which can't easily be erased in my memory.

My activities in one day with my family

On a very good day, me and my brothers though we are living in different places but within the city, we decided to unite and spend this particular day together to keep the oneness spirit flowing, it was all funfilled. The activities we both engaged in can be accessed in the lines below according to the sections of the day.

Morning Hours: Buying some food stuffs in the market

On the agreed day, we both met in my house and decided to go and get some foodstuffs in our nearby local market. It was on Saturday being weekend and we left home to the market as early as 8:00am WAT. In a tabular form below are the few things we bought that day.

Cooking and eating process

The team kind of cooking which we both engaged in lasted for quite a short period of time about only 40 minutes without anyone stressing themselve.

We cooked jollof rice, a unique cooking of rice that exists in Western part of Africa which is loved by many, even though ain't a fan of jollof rice but since my brothers suggested , I had no option than to accept.

We both enjoyed the meal which we cooked compare to the ones which we normally buy due to lack of time. Everyone ate to their satisfaction, we were all feed up.

Evening hours of that day

We both engaged in different conversations during and after eating. We talked about our homes, our plans to visit those at home and we also had amusing conversation as well even though everyone was on their phones yet it did not distracted us.

At around 7 o clock, our elder brother suggested we should go out and have some drinks, even though I don't drink also yet I followed them. We got there but wasn't pleased with the life of people in the bar drinking, I suggested we buy the drinks we want and go enjoy them at home and we they all agreed, we did just that.

We got home past 8 and after enjoying the drinks for a lil while, it was time for them to return to their places since there was curfew at the time.
I escorted them a bit, watched them enter the taxi them I returned home.

Conclusion

This has been my most memorable day with my family this year since I haven't united with my parents for long yet they made me realise the true meaning of family love.
Hoping to have them all together very soon also.
