Foreword
As the last week of this season of engagement challenges drew near, Steem For Better Life brought to us quite an interesting challenge, asking us to write about anything desirable with a conclusion "The end...
And as such, I decided to use this opportunity to write about my country's forthcoming general elections.
"It's better to talk about what's bothering you at the time it's bothering you."

About Nigeria's forthcoming election
Just a few months remain—barely 3 months—for Nigeria to head to the ballot box with the aim of choosing leaders who will lead them for another 4 years. The general elections will give electorates across the 36 states of the federation, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Abuja, the opportunity to choose their leaders.
Leaders to be elected include the executives (president and governors) and the legislative ( upper chamber that's senators and lower chamber that's house of representatives) respectively.
Elections in Nigeria, and specifically general elections like this, are being viewed by many as a hard, dangerous period, whereas they ought to be contrary.
I've taken out time to dish out some advice to my fellow electorates. I guessed it would be of extra worth to those who deem it necessary.
Vote, Not Fight
Fellow electorates, the sooner we realize that polling units aren't war zones, the better the elections will be. This is with reference to previous happenings during election where issues of bloodshed are recorded in some polling units across the country. Most candidates contesting for different positions, because their intentions aren't to serve the people but for their portion of the national cake, they tend to do anything that will make them win. Some of their dirty deity plans are being executed by young people who want to be unfortunate, the young people who mind less wallowing in ignorance.
It's my plea with the Nigerian youths to gird themselves, be bold enough to stand against their votes being manipulated, and most importantly, reject any amount of money given to them to sell their votes as it's their future.
Your vote, your power
These are the common words we need to hear during elections.
It's without doubt that Nigeria, the so-called giant of Africa, is viewed by outsiders as one of the most dangerous countries to visit in the world, and yes, it is. high level of insecurity, economic hardships, and recession, to mention but a few. The leaders who forced themselves into offices are the ones painting the country this color, while the quarterly part contributed by the citizens is still as a result of bad leadership. In a nutshell, leadership is Nigeria's only problem.
To put an end to these, electorates have to know that every one of their votes is incredibly important. Also, voting for a candidate is their civic duty. I mean, shouldn't this be a very common sentiment?
My fellow citizens of our great country should also know that, by voting, citizens are exercising their franchise by choosing who will represent them and their ideas in various positions. Your wise decision in voting will determine your way of life in the next term, as well your small mistake in making a wrong choice which will definitely affect you.
Conclusion
The author has highlighted some common, yet very important points the electorate needs to hear during elections. It is hopeful that by implementing the aforementioned advice, choosing the right candidate without favoritism but with qualifications will be "the end" of the country's calamities.
Long live Nigeria,
Love live patriotic citizens,
May good things happen to us all.

This is quite informative and timely.
We need to know that #NigeriaDecides tag in full simply means Nigeria Decides for their next leaders and not Nigeria decides for war or any ugly act during this time of election.
This should be a collective responsibility for all of us to come together as one, with the power of our votes, we are sure to make this nation great again

It's been a misconception to most citizens since the country's independence that polling units during elections automatically becomes warzone. A lot of electorates for the fear of the alleged dangers involved tend to deny their civic duty of exercising their franchise. Among the little that Decides to participate do ended up contributing in manipulation of Elections. Sad.
We've been part of the cause, together we can change the narration as well

I just hope we shun that attitude of getting money from selfish politician to vote for their candidate.
The truth is these people leverage on the poverty that has eaten deep into the fabric of this nation. It's time to say no for a better future
