Weekly Reflections #23: 2024 in Pictures

A memorable year in my life that I will never forget in a hurry, I cried, I faced setbacks and disappointment, I manage to overcomes my difficult moments but in all aspects I still learned a lot.

I am greatfull to God for keeping alive to witness the end of the year, I have moments I would love to share with you guys.

Of course, this was the first picture I took this year because of New Year's celebration with my family members.
Entering the new year, my heart was filled with joy and happiness because it is not easy to see a bright new year. It takes only the grace of God to be alive, so being strong and healthy is enough reason for me to celebrate.
New year is a special celebration in the life of everyone especially my mum who is also celebrating her birthday that day, we had so much fun celebrating with her and it was a very memorable event for me and my family as we had good time together.

My brother have been sick for a very long time, and the sickness isn't and ordinary one as he steeped on poison that nearly damaged his leg, he had a serious injury that almost too away his life but thank God for everything.
This picture has a very sad story related to it, and I am just writing it because of how my year went, which was full of ups and downs.
My brother stayed for almost three days without sleeping due to pains he felt, so we decided to take him to a herbalist for treatment.

When the man saw the condition of the keg he told us that we are very lucky and also said that God is with my brother, he worked on the ledd and discovered that they was maggot inside eating his flesh, he removed more than 200 maggot from my brothers leg and I started crying because I couldn't imagine the pain my brother have gone through.
By the grace of God they is improvement in his leg and the way the treatment is going before the end of the year he will gain healing, and we will all rejoice with him.

After the national meet-up in my country where we had so much fun, it was Sunday morning and sir xkool24 and ninapenda where about to depart to their various destinations it was as if they shouldn't go because I really enjoyed their company and presence in the meet-up they really made a difference.
I thought they would stay for another day, not knowing they had already planned their journey. Waking up from bed, I saw them with their luggage, so we decided to take a group photo for remembering the purpose.
It was really fun seeing them physically and interacting with them. Those moments will forever remain in my heart.

This is an annual event always held in my area, I live in a military Base so we so we normally organise an anual event to showcase our unique cultures and traditions, like dancing, cooking of our local delicacy and also quiz competition.
This year celebrations were really wonderful and enjoyable, we invited people from afar and never to witness this event and it was one in a million.
I really fed my eyes that day although I didn't take part in the competition but my sister did and she won a huge amount of money for her wonderful display.

As a devoted Catholic that I am, this day is a very special day in my life because it is the day the church reminds us that we are dust and unto dust we shall return.
The ash on our forehead is a sing that we are made from dust, and one day, we will all die and leave this world.
All the struggles we are struggling for on earth will not go with us when we die, so we should learn how to take life easy.
I went to church very early to receive my ash on my forehead, and I was filled with the word of God.

	My fellow applicants who went for the interview

They is no harm in trying. The only harm is when you don't try at all.
Becoming a member of the Nigerian Navy is part of my childhood dream, although I have previously tried it but it was unsuccessful for me so I had to keep trying again due to my passion and determination for it.
I applied for it and was invited for the interview. Which night was I very happy and proud of, I taught this time around that I would be successful, but it was the same old story.
I did everything within my powers, pass all the test and even came first in the juggling that we went for to my greatest surprise then final list came out and my name was not among, I was so devastated and heartbroken because of the effort I put to make sure I succeed but God knows the best and I can't question his ways nor decisions.

We normally celebrate Jesus christ king of the universe every year all over the word. In my area, this year's celebration took a dimension, and we danced and sang to the glory of God round my city.
Me that hardly dance due to shyness danced that day that is to show the presence of God in my life.
Being alive to witness that special day, I was very happy and overwhelmed with myself because I was able to prove doubters wrong about my dancing skills.

	Birthday boy

17th November a day I will always celebrate till I depart this world because that is my birthday, since inwas born I have never celebrated my birthday like I did this year, and people prayed and thank me for thr gift and refreshments I gave to them and their children.
I really planned this year's celebration as I bought new clothes for myself, I bought drinks, cartons of biscuits and some cakes to celebrate with those around me.
The event was to notch people I never expected came to celebrate with me, and I was overwhelmed with joy and happiness it shows that people value and care about me.
I took my friends out for a date, and we had fun to the fullest the memories will forever remain in my heart.

My best day in the steemit platform is because dolphin is every steemians dream in this platform, especially the first one.
I have been working very hard to achieve this milestone and it finally paid off, logging into my wallet and seeing the amount of steem power in it, I was very happy and i did some power-up in my wallet which gave me my 5k steem power.
My steemit friends celebrated and congratulated me, and I was very happy this achievement has taken me to greater height in the platform, and I believe I will achieve more dolphin 🐬.

A day I will never forget in a hurry, the national meet-up of my country was one to always remember because I had so much fun interacting with my steemit friends and mentor in the platform.
Seeing those great steemians physically who I have been looking up when I first joined this platform was a privilege for me. I learned a lot from them, and it will really help going forward in the platform.

I met my steemit friends, and we discussed a lot about the platform, we ate together and also received lectures from our country representatives.
I will forever be greatfull to God for making that day a reality for me. All the steemians in Nigeria went to uyo, which is our headquarters to attend the meet-up.

After a successful national meet-up, I met my steemit friends for the first time, and we had a good time together. They decided to take me around Uyo to see the beautiful adventures in the city.
We went to a place called Christmas village and we ordered for a barbecue and drinks to enjoy ourselves, the environment has positive energy and they are many people there who were also enjoying themselves.
The place looks really beautiful and amazing, and I was very happy with the memories that I created with my friends, our bond became even stronger than before.
