Anytime I want to write about places I visited, I always picture myself as the your guide or receptionist. I always act as if I'm promoting the place. Anyways, it's still part of promotion because I'll drop recommendation on the place. A serene environment found in the heart of my city. Found in the heart of my city makes it gold, difficult to find from far. It's one of the Hotels I've visited this year. The people call it Akmag Hotel.

Ever since I knew this hotel, I've been fond of being there because the serenity is there and it's matured, for matured people. You don't see children hover round the place because of its pool and bar as does other hotels where you'll find so inconvenient, swimming or even drinking. Since I passed through from the gate, I'll show you guys some facilities in this hotel and why it's unique.

Opening TimeMonday to Sunday [6:00 UTC]
Closing TimeMonday to Sunday [22:00 UTC]
Sharwama Stand

Sharwama stand is located in front of the hotel. You get to see the stand before passing through the gate. It's actually a small kiosk where people both inside and outside can benefit. Most people don't eat sharwama inside. They do bar things that's why it's stationed outside most especially for outsiders and seldomly for sharwama fans who may be interested.

This is a picture of the stand. It's actually accomodating if I should say because there are seats one can sit while waiting for the sharwama process. Sharwamas are of different prices there. These includes

Let's go inside the exterior of the hotel. This is just the sharwama stand by the gate area. **Moving on, this is what we call structure. This is the Akmag hotel I've been talking about. The person that drew the plan of this house did nobel to be honest. See the joining pillars and the colour combination is just so luring. Since it's a hotel, it has reception area and a total of 30 rooms in it.

This is what we call small importance. It's not really noticed from far as their sign board isn't even on the road to attract visitors. When someone told me a hotel is situated there, I found it so hard to believe that until I saw it for myself, the tallest building in this street. Even as it's tall, you can't see it from far. Moving on.

Parking Lots

I won't say they have a good parking lot compared to other hotels as their surrounding is small. I can barely accommodate 20 cars. Meanwhile, a few cars can be accommodated. There's no entrance fee, gate fee or ticket to entering the hotel which makes it free for everyone to come and have a good time.

Conference Hall

Akmag hotel has a beautiful conference hall cod hosting events. It's just that it's costly and most people are unaware of this because of the location. It's conference hall has this set of unique curtains that looks like that of a Bentley. So attractive and feasible with AC stands mounted on top, beside the building.

Renting their conference hall isn't for small children I must say..You need to be well equipped to handle this otherwise, you'll look for alternatives. What I mean by well equipped is that it is a hall that has value in price.

Bar

This hotel has a bar beside it and this bar is where people primarily come to drink and have fun. I didn't enter the interior of the hotel building because I came for swimming but I must say that the rooms would be standard. The bar is more like an open or free place with sockets on its walls for anyone to use.

Electricity supply is constant in this hotel and the bartenders there are very hospitable. You can see their chairs in 4 depending on the size of the table. The bar is located close to the pool which gives a better view for customers to watch what's going on. There's a television set mounted for public view which makes it even more interesting. A lot of things are sold in their bar asides drinks.

Prices of drinks are moderate though not the actual prices sold outside. Since it's a hotel, there must be a difference in prices. These are a list of their bar services.

And lot more.......They sell puffpuff, donuts, coffee, egg rolls, chin chin etc. When I was there, I took my seat, stationed close to the poolside to watch what's going on and also power my phone as it was literally low. The bartenders came to us and asked if they can offer us anything. I requested for a bottle of star Radler and sharwama

I wanted to eat first before going inside the pool. Steemians that were present are; @ngoenyi, @benton3, @whizzbro4eva, @alli001, @nsijoro, @chichigirl, @okere-blessing and me. While they paid for swimming to ease themselves from the hotness of the sun, I took photographs first. Moving on..

Suya Stand

This suya stand is where Suya meats are roasted and seasoned for people to consume especially by customers in the bar. Have you eaten Suya with beer before? You'll enjoy it. Asides Suya, they roast catfish there are prepare isiewu which is dog meat in English. These are the catfishes in a basin which they'll soon kill and roast for customers to purchase. Their isiewu is on my God. So sumptuous from the looks. These are the prices.

Moving on, we made enquiries on their pool side. The poolside manager told me to swim is a thousand and 500 naira. I was like, it's quite affordable. I paid for the pool and was given towel to wrap around my waist. I wasn't really prepared for swimming though. I was just forced to do the swimming even though I came to snap which is my job.

1000629804.jpg1000629805.jpg

All steemians that came had a fun time in the pool, drank inside the pool and ate inside the pool though by the pavements as taking it to the middle of the pool isn't allowed to avoid contamination. What if a lady in her period is to join the pool? There's a special rule for all swimmers to take a shower first before entering the pool so as not to contaminate it for others.

1000628771.jpg1000628759.jpg

Someone who's undergoing such may not want to swim except otherwise. The pool party began and we started with dancing inside the pool as music was played from the background. We did lot of activities inside the pool which was very much entertaining. I wasn't left out with my floater to avoid drowning as I can't swim.

The pool is sizeable though not big enough. It was memorable though. For the first time I learnt how to swim with a floater. I'm not always bold enough to go far with it but I did that day. It was cool though. I enjoyed every moment spent and shared.

After this pleasant moment, I went to their changing room to do the needful. Body lotion was provided to those who didn't come with theirs. I seriously enjoyed my whole day. The change room is so small and unaccommodating. I wish they could work on this anytime soon as we'll be visiting there again.

That's all for now. I took pictures and waved goodbye to Akmag hotel.
