Contest- The importance of Reading a newspaper

Wonderful day to all steemians in this creative community. Hope you guys are having a lovely day. Today I'm participating in this contest which is all about newspapers. Today I'm going to highlight the type of newspapers I read, it's benefits, how most people follow news in my country.

Do you read the newspaper everyday? what are it's benefits?

I do read newspaper trice a week, I mostly read newspapers on weekends because I have more leisure time than other days. On like the internet in which there is too many informations which makes it hard to identify false information newspapers provides the benefits of reducing the risk of getting fake news. Newspapers also provides a room for job employment opportunities.

What kind of news do you normally follow?

I usually read all aspects of news. My favourite involves sports and foreign news because I'm able to get information from other countries. It also helps me to get a clearer understanding only in my country alone but in other countries.Sometimes I also read comic books for fun as it helps me pass time and relax.

How do most people get the news in your country?

Most people view newspapers as obsolete and outdated and the choose to get the news from the internet. Although very few people still read newspapers in my country. Half of the people who reads newspapers in my country are usually old and that is why a lot of people have identified them to be outdated. Some also get news by watching television and listening to radio which is common when there is electricity supply.

Do you think international news is important?

I think international news is important because it gives you a clearer picture of what is going on there even when you're not there. It also broadens and widens my knowledge more on the cultures of this world . Also, when I read international news it allows me to trace the decisions and events in one country to others. Lastly, the news presented on the internet today usually do so to get attention and likes meanwhile, reading international news on newspapers helps me to get a direct insight into events happening in other countries.
