Some time ago scientists working at the University of Colorado (United States) confirmed that, very close to the lunar surface are large layers of ice and according to calculations, these can cover the need for hydration by humans and at the same time, produce rocket fuel.

This projection is based on computer simulations of each early stage of the natural satellite of planet earth. More accurately, they managed to discover that since 2,000 - 4,000 million years ago, the moon is living a phase of very intense volcanic eruptions since it is often observed as they eclipse the eruptions on earth.

The scientists explain that the clouds that are ejected in each volcanic activity are forming an atmosphere of limited duration and, the main compound is water vapor and carbon monoxide. Now, as these atmospheric gases escaped into space, the water remained on the ground and with the passage of time, a lake was formed that from planet earth is observed as frost.

On the other hand, this computer simulation also revealed that, the water that is on the moon had the opportunity to freeze and remain in permanent ice, however, due to the apogee that the volcanic activity has, it was impossible for it to maintain an icy state.

A very important section that scientists reported is that, every 22,000 years, an eruption has been recorded and the temporary atmospheres were remaining at approximately 1,000 years. It should be noted that, both periods performed condensation activity on 41% of the H2O that was expelled in its entirety.

Due to these figures, Andrew Wilcoski, one of the scientists who participated in the research pointed out that, the exact amount of water would be reflected in 8.2 x 1,015 kilograms of water, a metric that we can currently find in Lake Michigan (United States) and, this is the fifth largest lake we have on earth.

The scientists published this research in the Journal of Planetary Science and they allege that, the proposal they are going to work on after this study revolves around talking about that vital liquid on the moon to use it when necessary since, in their opinion, in view of the climate change that planet earth is experiencing, it is important to think about where to find water in case it evaporates completely in the world.
