My Travel Diary - The Great Asia Africa in Lembang, Bandung, West Java, Indonesia

I have to say that the only contest that I anticipated with all my heart is @goodybest' s contest because it's fun and show up in the perfect time especially in Steem For Better Life community. I don't care about winning or not, good rewards or nothing. I just love the green thumb lady @goodybest, so what?

Dear Steem Travellers!

This is a late post of my travelling experience, to be honest. I was thinking of creating a special post about this for other platform just because I know there's so many people from that place who will read and add some new update for me. But who cares? I found the time is perfect now. This is a story of My Hubby and I Travelling to Asia-Africa in Lembang, Bandung, West Java in October 17-18, 2022. I don't know whether we will have a chance to revisit that place again in the future. I'm a romantic and nostalgic person, so I like to come to the same place again and again to reminiscing.

I supposed to go to that tourism destination with a group of members of the community gathering by the bus on October 18th. Since no husbands/couples were allowed (except for the photographer, Bara) or Members Only. I have told my hubby about the event previously and He didn't mind of letting me go with the others. But somehow, I thought that we haven't gone out for a couple of months except to my hometown in January that year. So, I told the head of the group that I will meet them at the spot while I'll go with my hubby one day earlier at my own cost.

Imagine that my @dipoabasch will singing this song all night long without me if I didn't bring him with me that day, LOL

I always had this idea in my mind, let's go to a place which you don't really want to go. We can go to another place that you want to go after that. There's a place that I've been longing to visit too. But it's at a different direction of the group destination. So, why not create my own travel plan?

Here is My Travel Diary

Monday, October 17th, 2022

I have made a reservation at the hotel close to The Great Asia Africa via RedDoorz Apps and we have booked our ticket to go to Bandung before we continue to Lembang, a part of District West Bandung, West Java. We got on the bus at 07.00 AM, I took a nap while @dipoabasch were listening to the music in his phone. It was 4 hours trip on the wheels.

We have had our lunch, and I ordered another online taxi via application to reach our destinate hotel to stay that night. it was a bit complicated because we were waiting at a wrong direction and pick up zone from where the online taxi allowed to pick us up. Almost an hour after we arrived that we could meet the driver, and I had lost my excitement to enjoy the beauty of the city which also known as Paris Van Java. Arrived at the small and old inn (not hotel) around 2.00 PM, unpacked our bag and freshen up, we decided to take an afternoon walk around the place to see what's the hype.

A few hundred meters from the Inn, we found a Cafe which was named and decorated as the famous Novel and Movie by the Bandung born author Pidi Baiq, Dilan. It's a cool and cozy place called Taman Dilan (Armor Genuine Coffee). The place is so quiet (not many visitors during the weekdays), we ordered some dishes that available at that time and had our early dinner.

We left the place at 6 PM and walk back to the Inn. There's no public transportation available here. Right before we entered the Inn entrance, I spotted a durian seller nearby. I knew that @dipoabasch was not really full of the meatball soup only. As an entertaining gift, I bought him the durians and since it was not allowed to bring durian to the Inn, we just have our supper on the spot. What I love the most on travelling with my spouse is we have the same opinions on how to enjoy our time together.

Tuesday, October 18th

I found out that our destinated place to meet the group of community members was not very far from where we stayed for the night, 800 meters away. We decided to take a walk and had our breakfast before we went there. I spotted a few good places along the way. We have our simple breakfast at restaurant Saung Pengkolan and continued our journey to reach The Great Asia Africa before the group. I bought the tickets, and we entered without waiting for the group arrived. Later I knew that the group already purchased the ticket for me.

I was too excited, and I couldn't wait for the group to arrive. I went in and explored the place with my hubby. So many good spots worth to captured. I took out my narcissist stick, set my phone up and started my adventure of the day.

When I pointed at the way I want to go, hubby was laughing at me. There's no way he would let me go to that way! I didn't say I wanted to stop by the place. Well, he had a trauma with my craziness about watching K-Drama in the past. So, he would try his best to prevent me to reminiscing on something that I never think about why I would do that? What's wrong with looking around? never mind, I want him to have fun too.

Skip the way to Korea and let's walk to an open gallery where many portraits of the important people who lead this country, Indonesia painted on the wall. This place was built as a thematic park which also provide an educational information about a few countries in Asia and Africa. We can learn about the culture, eat the food and also enjoy the beautiful and artistic sceneries of the place at 1000 meter above the sea level. Entry fees only 10 Steems/person.

I love the weather at that time, it's quite warm in the morning but usually rain will fall in the afternoon. With that thought in my mind, I continued to enjoy the exploration with my camera on. In case there's something cool and beautiful pop up in every corner that I probably missed.

He stood with the portrait; I sat with the statue. It's Soekarno, the first president of Indonesia, the founding father of my beloved country. At least my man won't get jealous with a statue, LOL.

I wish I could show you all my photos at the palce, but somehow steemit wouldn't allowed me to do so. LOL. Here a few more sceneries.

Jaipur, The Pink City in India. Beautiful flower beds and an artificial elephant to ride!

Japan Pavilion, they served Ramen here!

One of the rest area where you can play some games, took nice photos at the traditional house of Sunda Ethnic from Indonesia. A soil house in Africa and A dragon temple in China. Or you want to just sit on the cemented bench which also has colorful chairs drawing on it

We took our time to feed the fishes, hehehe. I like the ticklish feeling it brings and I love the man who accompanied me having fun. I had to stop the fish feeding moment, because I saw my group was arriving at the Japan theme park where we sat.

I told my hubby to enjoy his time outside the park at the coffee shop we saw in the morning on our way to the park and helped me to check out from the Inn and took our bag packs to the coffee shop. I need to spend sometimes with the group until they went home around 3 PM. I continued my exploration around the park with a friend, Mbak Menik. We took a different way from the group who's busy with their group photo sessions, LOL. Somehow, the rain starts to fall and under the drizzling with my umbrella. We reach the restaurant to have our lunch which was already prepared beforehand. Eating and having a good chat as if we never met before in the neighborhood. Everyone looked so happy, and they asked me to join them to come home. I had to say I couldn't because I have another plan to go to Tasikmalaya. My hubby wanted to meet his old friend who is a teacher at the famous Islamic Institution there. And I wanted to go to Tasikmalaya too. My phone run out of the battery, and I couldn't capture pictures of our meals that day.

He was so eager to leave as soon as I finished recharging my phone's battery at the coffee shop and waiting for our online taxi to go back to Bandung and continued our long way to Tasikmalaya. I have another story to tell about that journey though. I have to stop here.

I wish I could go back to The Great Asia Africa and explore more of the park, took a picture of all turns and corners with my hubby. We seldom spent time out of the town because we need to take care of my old Father-in-Law. Somehow, I wanted him to join us too. I'm still looking for the right time to take him out to play too, as much as I wanted to take my mother out of the country to see the world. I hope I still have a chance to do that. I want everyone experienced the same excitement as I had anytime, I went out.

Last but not least, I'd like to invite @seribubulan, @fhasnia, @mhizta and @hidayat12 to join the contest when they can spare sometimes during their busy day. Enjoy your travel memory and you don't have to go somewhere far to feel the beauty of the natures or to meet wonderful and unique people. Look around and find the gorgeous sceneries also the rich cultural environments.

Dang it, I forgot to set up beneficiaries!!

Thanks for stopping by and See you around

@aneukpineung78, tahu kek mana atur ulang payouts? Aku lupa set up beneficiaries🫣 ngetik dari jam 10, baru selesai meskipun ala kadar Dan akhirnya lupa deehh

Wait oo, the music video is amazing, I mean I never vime across the musician before, where I he from? The really enjoyed the journey with your hubby, trying to explore the world and the environment. I wish I have a chance to do the same but I knows it's not late. Inshallah.

He's an American singer

Thanks for the curated 🙌

yang senang pengen balik karena suka rasa digelitikin ikan atau belum kesampaian naik gajah di kota pink??

Belum semua taman tema dimasukin siyh... Jadi penasaran gitu

It looks like a very exciting trip. If you filmed videos there, it’s worth sharing them too, because the places are very picturesque.

I liked this one the most (The Pink City).
Perhaps it's worth dedicating another separate post to this place if you have additional materials.

I forgot to videoing it@golden-rain. Mostly because I don't have enough time to do so at that time. I have many photos of the pink city themed. I'll create another post when i have time. But where do you think I supposed to post it?

Thank you 🙏

It seems to me that it’s not so important in which community to publish because the whales mainly focus on tags and the authors themselves (perhaps I’m a little mistaken, but even if so, not to a full extent). So, I mostly publish in the national community, and also in the Venezuelan community, simply because I like the contest themes that Flori offers. It turns out that I’m not a very good advisor on communities, but at least this is my answer about my personal view on the matter.

Oohh.. i found a good community for that post 😉 italy has a weekly unforgettable trip topic😁 I think I can try to create a post there later. Thank you as always 🤗

After reading the post and looking at the photos again, I realized that the most enchanting thing of all is your smile :) It was such a pleasure to see it in every photo :) It shows that you had a great time and that you are a cheerful person, which is the most wonderful quality of character.

Thank you dear @diadao, tbh.. I always put a stern face in front of camera when I was younger and I saw it quite scary 🙀 after that, I'll always smile at the camera 😅
And you're correct, I was so happy to be there with my hubby 🤭

Thank you so much for taking me to Great Asia Africa! It was truly an adventurous experience. It was very thoughtful of you to bring your husband along, as it made the trip even more enjoyable. The lush greenery is therapeutic, and exploring it with friends made it unforgettable!

This picture is simply stunning! I can imagine how it felt to be there. I truly appreciate your entry; it’s one of the best!

Thank you @goodybest, when I created the post. I tried my best not to put too much detail of my feelings, but I always failed 😁 I forgot the most important thing I need to share, the detail information about the place itself ☺️

You're so nice, thanks again for your encouraging words🤗
