This is my first writing on this great community. I want to share my tragic experience cooking jellof rice with my friends.

It was a delightful Saturday evening, and my friends and I felt brave in the kitchen. We choose to take up the challenge of making jollof rice.
We started at great strength, chopping onions, tomatoes, and peppers with energy. We confidently sautéed the vegetables in a pot with a bit of oil.
Things began to go downhill when we added the rice. We had miscalculated how much water was required and added an excessive lot. The rice transformed into a soggy mess, and we didn't know how to fix it.
We were already panicking when we added more spices and salt, expecting to rescue the dish. Be that as it may, it just aggravated it. The rice turned out excessively spicy, excessively salty, and soggy at the same time. We had shattered the beloved jollof rice!

To exacerbate the situation, we welcomed a few visitors over for dinner, and they were enthusiastically holding back to taste our jollof rice. We were embarrassed at the prospect of serving them our grievous dish.
In any case, we attempted to do our best. We put everything on the table, doled out the rice, and stood anxiously for our visitors to bite. The expression on their faces said everything - they were attempting to pretend and claim everything was alright, yet we could see directly through it.

We attempted to laugh it out, yet we felt embarrassed. We had thought making jollof rice would be a breeze. However, it ended up being a catastrophe.
