Tips to Always Get Creative Ideas for Writing on the Steemit Platform - Season2

in hive-153970 •  2 years ago  (edited)
I am sorry to have missed the first edition of this wonderful topic for a contest, but I am lucky to be here, thanks to @patjewell who invited me here to give you my version of how I produce content on the Steemit platform. I am proud that she has picked me to give a few tips on how to create good content.

I would like to quote

“I made a startling discovery. Time spent writing = output of work. Amazing.” – Ann Patchett

That simply means I am not at all a creative writer, but I must have something that kicks me right where it needs to give me an idea to write about something. For instance, when I read Pat saying—

For most of us being an author was the last thing that crossed our minds before we joined Steemit. Little did we know that the road to becoming an author is paved for us on Steemit.

That's not true about me because I have been writing for more than 10 years, although I never did it on any blockchain-based platform.

But did I say I was doing any creative writing?

Nah, I have been writing based on my travel experiences, which require no creativity but are perhaps more like jobs. Just as a mason needs the whole lot of raw materials to make a house, I need to see everything that I bring together and use them as bricks and plaster to create a house. That certainly requires a lot of extra effort compared to talented writers who close and open their eyes and get an idea to write a creative post. Incidentally I have written a number of travel related posts on this site.

𝕎𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕤𝕡𝕖𝕔𝕚𝕗𝕚𝕔 𝕤𝕥𝕖𝕡𝕤 𝕀 𝕒𝕡𝕡𝕝𝕪 𝕥𝕠 𝕘𝕖𝕟𝕖𝕣𝕒𝕥𝕖 𝕔𝕣𝕖𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕧𝕖 𝕚𝕕𝕖𝕒𝕤

That was one of my writing ideas, but sometimes I feel that I can write a little differently based on what I see, like when Pat said she saw this or that while sitting in her car, and a whole series of ideas filled her mind, and she did this post then and there while sitting in her car waiting for her son outside his school. That's what creativity is.

I have felt the same often while sitting in my sitting room looking at the famous Eddison Park. It's spread over 14 hectares of land and is a multi-use recreational area. Here, the young people gather every year on Anzac Day.

This park has a pond, ducks, a golf course, a skating rink, walking paths, amusements for kids and families, and the Woden Cemetery.

Then we have the famous Woden Mall (Westfield Woden Shopping Centre) just across this park, and sometimes, mostly on Sundays, I feel like going to the mall by walking, so I take the shortest route.

I just cross my courtyard onto the approach road, and when I cross it, I reach a small gate that opens at the walking path. I walk about 500 meters and reach the nearest entrance to the park. I cross the road and enter the park.

Now I can see my favorite exercising area on one side, and that gives me a number of ideas for writing about fitness topics, but, as I said, I have walked on foot to go to the mall with a small backpack on my shoulders, so I take the shortest route. The shortest route goes past the cemetery.

As I told you earlier, I am a travel writer, so I record everything, which works as raw material for my writing. but this is the only place where I dared not take a single picture. When I see a woman sitting near a grave with roses in her hand or a couple sitting with folded hands and an amused kid looking at them, I can't even imagine taking a picture of that area.

You can see that here and the road I pass through. This place is clearly visible from my sitting room.

Oh, yes, I can give you a number of images of that park's different recreational areas but that would be too many for this small post.

My answer is yes, because whatever you come up with needs creativity. Making a tasty recipe takes a lot of creativity. I have seldom written a diary on this site, but I read them and appreciate their sense of creativity.

I have seen people create artistic items from waste or useless items, that needs a lot of creativity, so there is nothing possible unless you have enough creativity, apart from what I do, which is purely based on what I see and put on my post, and that's it.

So my conclusion in this regard is that nothing is possible unless one has a creative mind, and I can witness them in plenty.

I think I am with Pat on this one again and second her choice. Let me make it clear, that I am a new member here, only 11 months old on this website, and I was wandering in the dark after completing my four beginner topics. I would still be doing nothing if it were not for @disconnect, who listed pretty much everything. That's enough to take any steemian, new or old, places.

I have made it a habit to visit his blog at least twice a day and see what is in my best interest, and I always find something to write about. As I already told you, I write mostly about travel, so when I found @o1eh first contest six weeks ago, I entered it and have been doing it regularly since and luckily I have won them all.

Pat is yet another blogger on this site whom I follow religiously, and she is kind enough too, as she always responds to my mentions. I would like to mention another one, @josevas217 who has been a busy writer and has great motivation, and yes, the story would not be completed if I didn't mention my fellow Dream Steamin @weisser-rabe at this point. In addition to these two, I am inviting my close friend @senehasa to come and join the fun.

I was worried that the time would be too short to submit a post.

With beauty just outside your window you are one lucky fish! I can understand how it gives you inspiration to write. Nature brings out the best in all of us.

Best wishes for the contest and for your travelling!

Thanks, I always find time to do posts when someone special invites me to do it. I know I have nowhere near the creativity that was demand of the topic but I did it, yeeeeeeeeeee!
