How to write a "Good Quality" Post? (My Personal Perspective)

In recent times, I browsed across the community and tried to find something new to have fun with and read some posts. I found mostly about diary games and some other posts as well. But I can not ignore the fact that most of the posts are only made to gain the payout. Some using the delegation upvote services and flooding the platform. I am not judging which is right or wrong, it depends on how you see it from your own perspective.

Reading the post of @o1eh made me realize that even now the curator team still struggling to find good-quality posts which worth reading. Although this post was not particularly talking about the quality of posts he has addressed his concern about good quality posts across the platform..

In this post, I would like to share my own experience at the beginning of my journey. I posted a single photo with a few words to explain the photos, with the assumption being "I have made a good post because my photos are great", but you know what, my posts end up with a dash payout. Finally, I jumped into the MSP Discord channel and discussed what post can be categorized as a good post and worth of upvote.

The answer I got enlightened me a lot, until one day in July (I guess), I met a friend who works as one of the Curie Curator Team and I learned more about the good quality post. Anyone who has been active since 2018 knows very well about the dust payout post.

Since then, I have improved my post a lot and I started to make a proper post to gain upvotes. Also in July, I got the first upvote from the Curie Curation Team, I knew very well how hard to get the Curie at that time, how it was not difficult since the Curie team had strict standards for upvoting the post; it is what I will address in this particular post. Referring to my previous experience with good-quality posts I will list a few things that are worth considering as the good-quality post:

The first eye-catching thing on the post is a photo, when you make a post without an eye-catching photo, normally audience will skip it without reading or even looking at it, that is why it is important aspect and pay good attention to your photos. Your device to take photos is important but that is not the problem when you have such skill in taking pictures. Focus, angle of photo, lighting, and composition, resolution are the most important aspects of having a high-quality photo.

The title of your post also plays a significant role in our post. The title of the post needs to be provocative to attract the audience. It is the entry point of the post, whether the audience will read your post or not will first look at the title. Even when you make a diary game post, you can add your own touch to put the title properly. You also need to pay attention to the relevancy between the title and the content of your post.

An article will be interesting to read when someone finds out that has information about something related to the theme or topic. So based on that aspect, then what we need to create is a post with interesting information narrated in it. Such as the news is published online, we will read the news a few lines, but when we find out that it has detailed information we will be interested to continue reading the article to the end. and a detailed narrative of the information. Sometimes, we need to put ourselves in the view of the reader/audience when we write the post, hence will have a better understanding of how we serve the information to others. It does not matter if you write a diary game, as long as you preserve the attractive information about your activity it will attract the audience as well.

Looking at the news about specific topics on Google is easy and also using AI, Chat GPT, etcetera is an easy peasy task now and looks perfect and cool, but that is not yours, so? BIG NO!. It is better to write your thoughts, with your touch (genuine writing), your own ways of telling things. You can use your own language to fully express yourself without any language restriction. I do realize that especially in my area most people are not able to write or read English perfectly as a native, but that does not matter at all, you can use your relevant language (i.e. Bahasa). In case you quote someone else's post you absolutely need to cite it properly, and the same for taking pictures from the internet.

We would like to see the Steemit platform become a better place to live and express ourselves freely without fear. Political Topic is not really something the steemians like to discuss because the Steemit is not the right place to discuss kinda topics (Sorry, no offense to those who like political aspects). Politic is also something that is based on personal opinion. It is better if we write what we are really capable of because when we write something that we do not understand then it would be very difficult to convey it in detail. Besides, our political views may not be the same as others which can easily trigger a debate and eventually create an unnecessary conflict. Same as the racial issue, it is better not to post about it because could offend others as we need to realize that we are part of a very big community. Same as any other sensitive issues like offending other religions or faiths.

Ordinary things can be interesting when it is accompanied by proper narration. If you read the post and you find out that the narration of the post is poor, I am sure you will skip it and hop to other posts immediately. So making the proper narration of things is a really important aspect of the article/post. It is the same as the quantity of the words in the article/post you made, if you make a post with only one single photo and 100 words to describe your diary game, it is difficult to say that is a "good quality" post. When you tell the story of your day, at least you provide complete information and detailed events in the day you describe. It is also important that when you create an article on Steemit use the attractive markdown because most people will like to read something properly arranged.

Well, as I said before, these are not the fixed rules for making good-quality posts, you may agree or may not with this formula. What I tell you is what I have been through in the rough time of getting upvotes on this platform. I strongly believe that the users of this platform are eager to read informative and interesting posts of ours. I personally want to read more great posts on this platform.

I am not telling you that I can make good quality posts, but I am telling you that I got Curie's attention after improving my skills in these 6 aspects day by day, and I have been through the hard times too. But I will not just give up without doing anything to improve. How about you?
