My Application for Community Curator January 2024

Looking at the update from steemitblog regarding the community curator application for January 2024 Steemit Update [ December 13th, 2023 ] : Community Curators for January - Applications Open, I would like to apply for it. My name is Nailul and my account name is @el-nailul I started my journey on Steemit on February 6th, 2018. However, as I was deployed to the remote area for Humanitarian Working Purposes I was inactive twice on the platform.

I am 44 years old and a volunteer of two Non-Government Organizations, one is for natural protection which is Aceh Tracker actively campaigns for environmental protection by investigating and carrying out data collection on rare animals in the wild, and the other one is AOC (Aceh Ocean Coral) mainly concern on Fishermen Capacity Building for the Sea and Shore Protection for Sustainability Environment Protection, both of them has different functions and roles.

A summary of my story on this platform

I started my journey on this platform on February 6th, 2018, it was when the Steem and SBD prices started to go down. I gained success on this platform by publishing high-quality content, which is proven by getting support from the Curie Curation Team who will only support publications with high quality, I started to support contests and was actively involved in commenting and upvoting the members on the platform. Earlier in 2020, I had no smartphone or laptop so I was active for several months until I got a job in Banda Aceh and then re-activated my account again. Not long after I activated my account I became one of the SteemSea moderators and started to build the community with @anroja and other team members, curated the posts in the community, and also provided support to improve quality content in the community, and as the representative of Steem Foods from Indonesia.

My positions of responsibility on Steem

As the initiator or founder of the Steem.amal I made a personal post on 4th November 2020 with the idea to support the vulnerable using Steem and for the first time the idea was presented at the official MOD and CR meeting in Lhokseumawe on November 13th, and then I took action to establish the @steem.amal account and started a humanitarian project supported by the Steemit team till now. I designed the project and took the lead to guide the team in constructing the roles and management in managing the project, determining the outcome, and budget planning for each program of the humanitarian project.

Not long after the steem.amal was established on April 29th, I published my first food support for 10 families in Venezuela with my own. This project has become the foundation of the World Smile Project in various countries and communities. Later on, I was not able to manage the World Smile Project alone and I started to build another team who managed it efficiently until now. I was the leader of the team and provided guidelines for managing the program and budget with @irawandedy and @heriadi until now. Because of the two charities project I managed on this platform, I was selected to be the best contributor across the Steemit platform. I also initiated the Steem For Better Life Community which was the result of the combination of Steem Education and Better Life.

My professional skills

My professional skills in the real world are a Procurement and Logistic Supply Chain Expert. Besides, I was a survival trainer for the Wilderness's Explorer which is part of land navigation specifically for rainforest and jungle trackers and rescuers. Other skills that I have mastered with certification are Sea Survival and Vertical Rescuer. Recently I have had no job, but just a humanitarian volunteer and also support local NGOs for establishing revitalization of the Mangrove and other humanitarian projects. Working as a freelancer for social mapping, constructing a Logical framework for local companies, and supporting humanitarian activities.

My country and languages I can read fluently

I am an Indonesian living in Lhokseumawe - Aceh province, I can speak English fluently and can read and write in English, Arabic, and Bahasa. As the Acehnese my mother tongue is Bahasa Aceh. I can curate in English and Bahasa without using a translation engine or so.

My recent account statistic

Right now my reputation is 74.105 with a total SP is 19,709.75, I have delegated to a newcomer and communities up to 5,487.22. My effective SP is 14,222.54 SP and I am in club status #club5050. I actively curate posts in the community especially Steem for Better Life and SteemSEA. My voting priority is the post with a minimum club5050 and above, but I also look at good quality posts but low payout to support and encourage them to keep posting on the platform.

My subjects of Interest

I am interested in many aspects such as anything related to cooking, diary games, humanitarian action, environmental activities, education, photography, adventure, survival things, novels, and fiction. I have a wide range of interests so I have no problem in curating any subject or theme of post. I am also willing to check and curate the newcomer posts and comment on them to improve their post where necessary.
