Today, the field visit to the construction site must be continued since I have to escort the Engineering Forensic Expert team to check several spots. It is actually exhausting, but my duty is clear to provide any necessary support to the Forensic team in the field.
I have already been in the field by 9:00 am because today I need to check the size and quantities of the iron bar that was used to construct the poles and beams in the morning and continue to measure the length of the construction. The location is in Meunasah Baro, Simpang Kramat sub-regency, North Aceh. While waiting for another team to arrive, I walked around and wanted to see the environment of Meunasah Baro village.
The water treatment for clean water access to all the villages
The local community here are mostly farmers who live their life peacefully in harmony. The villagers live close to each other and most of them are still close relatives. The government supports them with necessary infrastructure such as water treatment, schools, health centers, and police offices as well. As you can see in the picture below the health center serves the local community to get first aid support in case of emergency.

85% of the land in this village is still used as farming land and as you can imagine how beautiful the village is. The rice field occupied most of the village area which is why re-normalization of irrigation must be considered as the critical aspect for these villagers and also some other areas in this sub-regency.

At about 11.00 am, the forensic engineer team arrived at the location and start to measure the length of the construction to calculate the volume. I joined them as a consultant and assist them to measure the volume while discussing a few things. Today's plan is to finalize the measurement of all construction volume in Menasah Baro before moving to the next place in Paya Lipah village.
The forensic Engineer team measured the wide of the construction from the bottom to the top
After measuring the side barrier, the team took a break for having lunch and getting rest. I went back to the meeting point and join them to have lunch together. While having lunch we discuss a few things regarding the next plan of the day. After lunch, we were going to take the iron bare sample and check the spot that need to be repaired immediately before it cost much more.
We took about 2 hours to rest because today is really hot and at about 2:00 pm, we all back to the location to start another task as planned previously.
The team is using a concrete breaker to check the iron bar inside the beam
I check around while they break the beam and instruct the constructor to send their worker immediately for repairing the spot. Some of the spots need serious concern because it has been badly damaged and the repairing needs to be done soonest possible before another landslide occurs at this critical spot.
The sinkhole causes damage to the construction at the bottom because the soil has a big force to press the barrier
After 2.5 hours of working, I took another break and enjoy the chit-chat with some kids that were swimming in the river where we were working at. They demonstrated their swimming ability and the way they jump into the water. Normally the swimming ability of the kids who live in such villages was learned themselves without any professional instructor. Their action brought me back to my childhood, I used to swim after school time, especially on a hot day, or for bathing as well. I really enjoy watching them having fun with friends like that, someday when they have grown up, it will be something sweet to remember.

At around 17.30, I went back to my office in Lhokseumawe and the next day we were going to move to another spot to check the concrete quality and construction volume. This is my day, it is tiring my energy but it gives me an excited feeling especially when I can mingle with the people in the village that are not contaminated by air pollution. Even though it is exhausting, I enjoy working in such a remote area.
Ok. this my day, tell me yours
Best Regard

It is good to always take a break when necessary because that helps to regain the lost strength and refresh the mind.
