Teamwork vs. Individual Work (Which is better?)

Introduction

In our different business places, offices and even families, we have different ways in which one can achieve a goal. I believe people choose to work based on what works for them, either to work as a team or individually.

Before that, what's teamwork? Two of my friends were pregnant. One went to deliver her baby in the private hospital while the other delivered her baby in the government hospital. But they had different experiences and stories to tell.

The one who delivered at the private owned hospital had complications in the course of her delivery which made her regret, while the other one who went to the government hospital had the same experience without regret, because the government hospital had different teams of doctors who were experienced.

The short story is that the other of my friends was in a private clinic, perhaps " a one-man clinic" while the government hospital had doctors who worked as a team which made her case treated with each person having a different experience, which they quickly applied, and her problem was resolved ASAP.

Now, which do I prefer? I prefer to work as a team.

Teamwork is working with two or more people to achieve a certain goal. That is to say that the team members make an equal contribution towards a particular thing in order to achieve the same goal.

✅ Which is more progressive between teamwork and individual work?

If you ask me, teamwork is more progressive because there's a proverb in my locality that says "all hands put on a heavy load can lift it lightly." There's no way people work as a team that there'll be no progress, because the effort of one man would be shared to different people and so, success will be achieved easily. It's success that brings progress.

It reduces the stress of working alone as the work would be shared with different people and, as such, will reduce stress.
It helps with timely delivery of the work as all hands would be joined together to fast track the success of the project.
It enhances personal development through learning from other team members.
It brings general staff satisfaction as achieving the set goals effectively will bring satisfaction to the team members.
Teamwork enables creativity as it makes each team member bring out the best in them in order to achieve their set goals.
