Hi Friends!

I'm glad to be here, and it's my pleasure to share my experience at our regional convention with you. Last weekend was one of the best so far, I was well spiritually fed and refreshed. The convention was held at the God's Will Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, and the theme was "Declare the Good News". The atmosphere was filled with Joy as almost 33,000 delegates gathered from different regions and States, all United in one love, purpose, and faith. There was no security guard, but everywhere was peaceful and well-organized. We all had a spiritually enriching experience that left me joyful and my heart filled with gratitude.

The convention began last Friday by 8:20 AM so we left early to beat the traffic. It was my first time at the stadium and my first time attending such a large gathering. I was first of all captured by the meticulous organization and Orderliness at the car park. All the cars were properly arranged, each driver was given a tally, and their names and their congregation names were recorded on a book likewise the car's plate number. This makes stealing a car impossible because volunteer attendants are always at the park, asking for a tally, your name, and the congregation's name before moving out any vehicle.

A thief was caught on the second day, which was Saturday, and he was handed over to the policeman. Kidnapping of kids was impossible, too, because kids were not allowed to be taken out of the sports facility while programs were on. Parents and guidance contacts were written on their batches in case of any emergency.

We began with vibrant songs that resonated throughout the stadium followed by heartfelt prayers each day, that set us in a positive tone for the gatherings. It was so uplifting to witness the unity and harmony that existed among us. We all sat as one family and received spiritual instructions that nourished us.

As I mentioned earlier the convention lasted for 3 days, I was captivated by each diverse array of programs I participated in. Each session was designed to deepen our understanding of Jesus' life when he worked the earth more than 2000 years ago and the essential lessons we can learn from him. We all toured Bethelem Jesus' birthplace and other places he used to travel to while on Earth through a video that shows these places, I'm grateful to Jehovah's organization that made such a provision for us to deepen our understanding of the Bible.

There were so many timely talks that were informative and spiritually uplifting, encouraging us to reflect on our lives, our relationship with our heavenly Father Jehovah, our families, and communities at large.

Among the highlights of the convention were dramas that portrayed Jesus' life on earth and the good news about his birth. Yes it was good news Because through Jesus we all have salvation. There were demonstrations too which acted as powerful reinforcements to the teachings we digested. All the demonstrations brought to life the teaching I usually read, it shows the importance of embodying those qualities in our daily interactions with people.

In addition to the talks and dramas, we were also treated to a series of videos about the life experiences of others about practical ways we can declare the good news. Each experience emphasizes the importance of sharing our faith and the blessings that come with doing so.

Baptismers.

Saturday was especially momentous as I witnessed 970 individuals symbolize their dedication to Jehovah through water baptism. My niece was among them. The sight of both these new young and old brothers and sisters stepping forward in their commitment to serve Jehovah was heartwarming and emotional; they vow to serve Jehovah for the rest of their lives, and this, indeed, was a highlight of the convention. They were joyful, this shows the transformative power of faith!

I felt privileged reflecting on my personal involvement at the convention; yes, I was honored to participate in a segment on Sunday that contributed to the overall event. I'm grateful to Jehovah who empowers me with his holy Spirit to stand boldly before that great crowd. It was fulfilling to share my insight and to see positive reactions from people around me. Everything was uplifting, I was deeply connected with my Christian Brothers and sisters.

Each day was divided into morning and afternoon sections, allowing breaks where we could socialize and refresh ourselves. These pauses gave us the opportunities to share love, food, and drinks with one another and get to know ourselves better, forging deeper connections within our spiritual family. It was comforting to be surrounded by those who love Jehovah and with whom we share the same faith and beliefs. Indeed, it was a foregleam of what the future paradise would be like.

As the convention concluded on Sunday Afternoon, we joined voices in singing our new original song (Good news!) I walked away feeling empowered and renewed spiritujoined. The experience reignited my love for my faith and brothers; it inspired me to continue declaring the good news. I was happy and determined to apply the lessons I've learned, sharing the love, the good news, and the teaching of Jesus in my daily life. Our world is filled with bad news, but this convention teaches us how we can counteract bad news with good news. This convention was indeed a testament that I'm in the truth, and I'm grateful to be part of Jehovah's organization!
