Last Friday I had the privilege of attending an amazing charity program titled "A Child a Million Smiles Project", sponsored by the World Smile team and the Steem Kids and Parents Community, all on the Steemit platform. The purpose of this initiative was to bring joy and nourishment to school children in Nigeria by providing them with food. You would agree with me that food is a necessity because a hungry child can't concentrate on class, and currently, in my country, people are facing with rising high cost of living, which is making it hard for them to feed their families well.

On this day, we arrived at the school (Inspires School) by 10:45 AM, and we were excited to share delicious and freshly made meals with the children. The menu includes Jellof rice, ripe bananas, and cooked eggs, a simple yet nutritious food that many children need. The school proprietress had sent consent letters to parents in advance and we were so happy that so many families supported this initiative by giving their consent.

The joy on the children's faces was contagious as we started sharing the food with them; they came out in batches to receive their food with gratitude and said, "Thank you, steemit, for coming to our school today!" Their smiles and appreciation made all the effort worthwhile.

The school teachers were not left out; they joined in, enjoying the meals and sharing in the excitement. Indeed, there's love and joy in sharing. Well, as I said before, food is a necessity for learning; as an adage in my dialect goes, "A hungry man doesn't listen to God's word." Others said, "A hungry man is an angry man." The same applies to both hungry kids, they will struggle to concentrate in class if they're hungry, the same goes for hungry teachers they will be easily irritated.

As I stated before, many families over here find it hard to feed well, due to economic difficulties. In fact, some families are operating 1 - 0 - 0, meaning they only eat once a day, and this normally leads to improper nutrition. So the program's mission to provide food is not only a noble act but timely. Many people, including the kids, teachers, and even passersby were pouring their blessings and praises on us and were telling us to come back some other day.

The atmosphere was joyous, we were playing music with our MP3 player, laughing and dancing as we interacted with the kids before their break time ended. We even danced with some of them and then the school proprietress expressed her heartfelt gratitude for our efforts and we captured the moments.

I'm so grateful to be part of this meaningful program, and I want to appreciate the Steemit team, Worldsmile, and Steem kids and parents community for their commitment to improving the lives of Nigerian children. A big shoutout to @ngoenyi for executing this first project, and thanks to Okere-blessing, Alison, Benton3, bossj23, kidi40, Nsijoro, Bessie and Leosmart for your tireless efforts.

I hope we'll continue in this noble work and keep putting smiles on children's faces. Yes, we can make a difference together! Because every child deserves a million smiles!!

Thank you!

The photos perfectly captured the unbridled joy of the children, their bright smiles and radiant faces said it all. As a team, we were equally thrilled, and I'd like to extend my heartfelt gratitude for your support and time.

By God's grace, this initiative will be an ongoing, lifelong project. We're gearing up for another session this week, and we hope you'll join us again to lend your support.

I must say, your dance with Ma'am @ngoenyi was impressive. Why not join us for a team dance on Thursday? That's what we call party after party💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾

Thank you, Alli, sure I'll be available this week because it gives me joy to put a smile on the children's races.

Your work is very nice. Each step is presented in an interesting manner. Markdowns in particular will fuel my creativity. Thank you sincerely. Such a beautiful work to share with us. Good luck friend.🥰

Thank you🙏

Thank you for sharing the world smile project's implementation @goodybest. This the reason why we need to set the program account as beneficiary 😉 I forgot about this sometimes, but now I'll do my best to set it up first before creating the post.

The children smiles are the most beautiful one in the world, and yours too 🤗

Aww, thank you so much for the compliments; their smile was indeed heartwarming; oh, that will be so nice of you to be setting a few percent of your reward for a charity project.
