Hello to everyone participating in this amazing, wonderful and inspirational contest. It is inspirational because we are being given the opportunity to talk about the very individual we think is the best or greatest of all time when it comes to athletes.

Actually there are a lot of athletes out there in the history books who have had a great impact to the world of sports. Some of which are footballers or soccer legends, boxing legends and even NBA legends. But for the sake of the contest and of the sports or athletes I love the most. Which football, I am definitely going to be talking about one football Legend I think is the greatest.

Who do you believe is the best athlete of all time?

The individual or person i believed to be the athlete of all time is one of the greatest footballer the country Brazil has ever had. That is Edson Arantes do Nascimento, who is commonly known as world Pele. He is one of the athletes i see and believe to be the greatest of all athletes. Even though i wasn’t around to see or experience the moment he use to play.

But from the videos and records he has set in the world of football, that alone is enough to convince you that he is actually the greatest athlete to have ever lived. He was actually born in Sao paola, Brazil in the year 1940. He started by playing for minor or smaller leagues and was actually finding it difficult to play for major leagues. This was because they were rejecting him. He was lucky enough to join the Santos Football club in the year 1956. It was at that team Pele won nine champions league and some major leagues in the American Leagues after which he was recognized as one of the best in his country.

What makes this athlete the greatest? (Achievement, records, personality)

He is actually the greatest because he has achieved a lot of records and done so many mysterious things in his life time. Pele actually won nine São Paulo league championships together with some outstanding trophies at very early age.

Pele was among the Brazilian team that won the World Cup three times. He was actually the key player in the team as that then. He was the most recognized among his other team mates. He was named a national treasure after those achievements.

Pele actually played his first World Cup game a year after his international debut. Pele as at then was young and furious. His games in the World Cup turned out to be great for he scored a hat trick in the semifinals against France. Which was one of the most important matches in the tournament. He actually amazed the world after scoring two goals in the finals. People were actually in doubt whether he can play. Because he was young as at that then.

What's your favorite moment of this athlete's career?

My favorite moment about his career is how he started so young and was able to achieve greater things at that young age. After winning the World Cup for the first time, he was also among the team that won the second and third World Cup trophies for Brazil. Which is one of the difficult task any footballer can easily achieve. He was having injuries as in the case of the second World Cup yet still he sacrificed to play. The won the third World Cup with Pele scoring 12 goals in 14 games which is quite an achievement.

This made me realize that he wasn’t only doing it for himself but for his country. Any individual would have second thoughts as to whether to keep on playing or take care of themselves. But Pele showed the world that he was doing it for his country. In his third World Cup experience, he was actually one of the oldest players as at then in the team. He showed the world that he was still the best and won the trophy for the third time.

What impact has he/she done on the sports and on you?

He had a great impact to the world not just sports alone. He was known for scoring more goals when ever he played. Which actually contributed in making him a star around the world. His team Santos actually had the opportunity to travel or tour the world. He actually happened to visit one African country country, that’s Nigeria which at that time of his tour was having a civil war.

Due to how famous and important Pele was, there was a call for ceasefire to allow people to see him and appreciate the moment with him. He had to play for a team in the United States to help promote the league there before his retirement. He had actually made me love football more and that football can unite us and do so many miraculous things for people.

If you ever get to meet him/ her what will you say to him?

If i ever get to meet him, what i will first of all do is to ask him how is it possible for him to be scoring so many goals and also how he find that easy. For it isn’t an easy thing to be scoring all the time. Most strikers today at times complete a whole season with them scoring just a few goals which isn’t impressive at all. Also, i will tell him that he is one of the best athletes to ever lived on earth and i wish i know how to play like him.
