Review of tourist attractions: A visit to Lake Bosometwe

TOURIST ATTRACTIONS

Before one could talk about tourist attractions,you will first of all need to know what is meant by tourism in the first place. Tourism is an act of going after recreational sites or in the search of comfort or pleasure in a different geographical area away from your usual comfort zone or house. It could be in the same country, place or a different region. Tourism has been a source of revenue for many great nations. Also these tourist sites or places also offer the citizens within it a job or work. This can be regarded as a source of employment. It attracts foreigners and investors into a country. There by helping a country to grow and become more advanced due to the coming of the foreigners into the country.

THE TOURIST ATTRACTION I HAVE VISITED

There are a lot of tourist attractions here in Ghana. Some of which are ; * Kakum National Park * Elmina Castle * Lake Bosometwe * Cape Cost Castle

Ghana is known to be one of the African countries with a lot of tourist attractions site. I have been able to visit few of these tourist attractions. The one i find fascinating enough, that i will like to talk about is the Lake Bosometwe.

LAKE BOSOMETWE is a lake that came by as a result of a meteoric activities. The lake is located in the southern part of Ghana which is Kumasi.
The lake can be found in one of the mountainous regions or areas in the Southern part of Ghana. These regions are mostly mountainous. There by rendering the lake to be situated within mountains. These mountains that are found around the lake also serve as a tourist attraction site.

It was one festive season when my friends and i decided to go visit the lake. We decided to go there in order to enjoy how the scenery is. Also, we went there for the sake of pleasure. I remembered we all gathered on one Sunday at the front of one of my friend’s house. He and my self were those who brought up about the idea of visiting the lake. We hired a mini bus because the number of people we were to go together with was a little bit plenty. We arrived there at noon, where by some of us went to buy food others decided to take walk around the place. After an hour time came together and decided to take a boat to cruise on the lake to see how wide and scenery it was.

It was really a nice experience on the boat whiles going around the lake. Luckily for us there was one guy in the boat with us who was telling us a history about the village that the lake was situated and the history about the lake too. It was really fun.

THE TOURIST ATTRACTION SITE I WILL LIKE TO VISIT

One of the popular and most important tourist attractions site i will like to visit very soon is the Elmina Castle. This is a castle situated and found in the Central Region of Ghana. Precisely Elmina. It is one of the most important because it is the first ever trading port to built by the Europeans in the Gulf of Guinea. It is also one of the oldest buildings of the Europeans in the south of Sahara. The castle was use for both the trade of slaves and merchandises. Which renders it to be one of the most important site to visit. I hope to visit it soon.
