In a traditional way and for several centuries, the kitchen is the place that most stores aromas and flavors since, it is the favorite place of the various essences and spices that we usually use when we go to season our food. However, all the traditional ingredients we use in the kitchen also have medicinal purposes.
If we evaluate the usefulness or functionality of plants we will know that, they are a very indispensable source of energy in the culinary art for this reason, they are always present in food. Over time, it has been revealed what are the healing properties they contain. As a curious fact we have that, most of these plant plants come from the eastern Mediterranean.
For example, star anise is currently considered the most enhancing ingredient that culinary dishes have, especially when preparing desserts or a natural drink. More accurately, star anise represents the natural medicine plant with the most malic acid, flavonoids and coffee.

It should be noted that anise also contains properties derived from the bioactive compound being responsible for helping the digestive process and even, in some organisms acts as a laxative agent capable of contributing to the intestinal flora to perform the proper work.
Now, knowing other more specific aspects of this plant we can highlight that, it is also known as matalahúva or failing that, green anise, however, its scientific name is Pimpinella Anisum and natural medicine specialists also recommend it when wanting to relieve headache and those who suffer from migraine, they can consume it frequently under the treatment modality because, it has anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties.
It is essential to note that, of the anise only its seeds are used since, they are the ones that contain the sweet flavor and in some cases, it is intense; these being some of the best mixtures that give the special touch to our infusions or culinary recipes. In the same way, it can be used as an essential oil or for tinctures, being this ideal to use it for therapeutic purposes.

Generally, green anise is usually confused with star anise, however, it is important that we keep in mind that they are totally different plants therefore, the properties they have are not the same either. As we can see, it is a medicinal plant that contains excellent benefits that help the well-being of our health and we can also use it to strengthen the immune system.
It should be noted that, green anise is recommended when we want to fight fungi, bacteria, constipation, seizures, menopausal symptoms, cardiovascular diseases and viruses while, starry is ideal to relieve cough, allergy, throat inflammation, menstrual pains, constipation, mild headaches, intestinal colic and migraine. Last but not least, both star and green anise can be used as a muscle relaxant and soothing.
