Weekly Reflections #30: What makes a place feel like Home?

in hive-153970 •  7 days ago

A home is a place where we find comfort, happiness, and security. To me, a place feels like home when it provides us with security, comfort, and a sense of belonging. Home is far beyond the physical space that we see, what is important is the emotional connection that we have with home. Here I have shared five reasons for better still that make a place feel like home.

  • Family and Routine: This is one of the things that makes a place feel like home. Staying in a place where you know the smell, sounds, layout, and details information of the place would make you feel at home, and having people that care about you and take you as they own would make you feel at home.

  • Comfort and Safety: I usually tell my friends that staying in a place where I don't feel safe, or comfortable I will leave because a home is a refuge where we can relax and enjoy ourselves without judgment or feelings of sadness.

  • Memories and Experience: A place can become a home for me if I have a sweet story to tell about the place. A home should be a place where we feel happy and have good experiences in life, a place where we can generate good stories.

  • Community and Relationships: A place can become a home to me if I am surrounded by family, friends, or even neighbors that create a sense of belonging to me.

  • Sense of Control: A place can be a home to me if I can arrange things my way make sound decisions about my space and strengthen bonds with it. Staying in a place where you are free to interact, associate, and contribute can make you feel at home as you would be comfortable with yourself.

There are a lot of things that make a place feel like home for every one of us, in addition to whatever I have shared, security, comfort, and connection are the key things that make a place feel like home, which without security, comfort and connection a place would be boring for us to stay.

I ask the question from chatGPT. I don't think this is a coincidence. You can write from your own experience even for this type of contest, including some memories from your family. But it's a pity you use AI to generate an answer.

I wonder why you write this? Entries like these I read at least 50 times during the past few months. Why not write a personal post about how it feels to have a home? What you state at the start is for sure NOT what most people have or ever experienced. If you do that your post would be so much better.

NOTE: No one will search for the hashtags you used.

Sorry for writing that way ma, I will try and improve in my next post. However, family and the people around us contribute in making a place a home. Thanks for your advice.

I am sure there are not so close families in your country as well and there's abusement. Where humans are there is.
At times it feels unreal if everyone says the same no matter how real life is. It's not shameful to say that the "happy family" is rare, a wish dream to many. It's the same with that picture of how Christmas should be.

I wish you all the best and fun on Steemit and thanks for replying.
