Assalamu Alaikum

Hello everyone, how are you today? This is me @jollymonoara. I have just joined your platform. I am sincerely requesting your help and co-operation. I know you must be with me. I spent the best time of my life in Sylhet city. So I will tell you my story today.
Bangladesh is a riverine and agricultural country. Bangladesh has 64 districts with 8 divisions such as Barisal, Chittagong, Dhaka, Khulna, Mymensingh, Rajshahi, Rangpur, and Sylhet.

Among these 8 divisions, I like the Sylhet division the most and I have been lucky enough to stay in Sylhet for three years. So I will discuss the city of Sylhet, staying in Sylhet, and traveling to Sylhet. I used to live in Sylhet city among the 4 districts of the Sylhet division, namely Habiganj, Sylhet, Moulubibazar, and Sunamganj. Before telling the travel story, let me give some description of Sylhet.
Sylhet city on the banks of the Surma River is known as one of the most essential natural beauty and economically prosperous districts of Bangladesh.

The economy

Sylhet division is a diaspora-dominated division. People of Sylhet division live in different parts of the world. The foreign exchange sent by expatriates is one of the sources of this category. Sylhet Tea is a foreign exchange-earning cash crop besides rice, fish, oranges, lemons, bamboo, etc. contributing a lot to the economy. Sufi philosopher Muslim missionary Hazrat Shah Jalal appeared in Sylhet. He came to Sylhet from Makkah via Delhi and Dhaka. His spiritual power was influential and many in Sylhet converted to Islam through his 360 followers. Shrines of Hazrat Shajalal and Hazrat Shaporan are located in Sylhet city. Every year many people come to visit the shrine.

Language and culture

Haor Bawar and Pahar Tila in the north-eastern horizon of Bangladesh have a great contribution to art and culture. Garo, Khasia, Jayantia. Naga, Kuki, and Manipuri people lived there. Sylhet is called the spiritual capital of Marmi Baad and the grazing ground of Aul Baul. Sylhet is called the land of Auli Auliya. The only language of Sylhet its own alphabet called Nagari Varnamala .

Food

Sylhet has some traditional dishes which are not available in other districts. One thing is that my husband's home district is Sunamganj, so when I was at my father-in-law's house in Dhaka, I could cook Sylheti beef hatkora and biroin rice well. Then when I got a chance to stay in Sylhet city, the rest of the traditional dishes came under my control. Like : akhni polao , tenga, nunor bora, pop pitha, handesh, hutki shira etc. Sylhet has a lot of Haor, Baor. so fresh fish and dried fish are available. Hower fish in Sylhet is so delicious, the taste of the fish sticks in the mouth. Fresh fish is available at night, my husband used to bring a wide variety of fish. It used to be 1:00 the night to cut the fish. When guests came, I had to cook a variety of fish for about 30 people and prepare different kinds of food.

Education

There is a saying about the people of Sylhet, Srihatte Madhyama nasty means the people of Sylhet are good, not bad, not mediocre. Murarichand College( MC College), Shajalal University of Science and Technology, Engineering College, Sylhet Cadet College, and Government M. A.G. Osmani Medical College are located in Sylhet. I have visited these places. Besides, Sylhet has countless Maktabs and Madrasahs.

River

There are many rivers in Sylhet besides Surma, Kushiara, Pian, Rakti Nadi, Goain, and Jadukata Nadi. Being tropical weather, Sylhet receives a lot of rain. Sylhet has many historical and sightseeing places. So every year many tourists come to visit the natural beauty of Jaflong, Bholaganj (white stone), Madhabakunda waterfalls, Bichnakandi, Swam Forest, and Keen Bridge. Sylhet's haor baors like Tanguar haor, hakaluki haor, Dekhhar haor, and Shanir haor are beautiful as well as many delicious fishes in haor are available. Sylhet division has a tea production center (Mouluvibazar), International Airport, and International Cricket Stadium.

The most beautiful city for me to live in Bangladesh is Sylhet and I was lucky enough to stay there. I used to live in the Majumdari area near the Bangladesh Biman office. Hazrat Shahjalal Dargah was 10 minutes away from my house. Dargah Sharif was near Ambarkhana Point, so guests always came to my house. The purpose of all was to visit the shrine and visit my house and take this opportunity to visit Sylhet. I will describe the places we visited.
Jaflong

Since we have to go to Jaflong from Ambarkhana point, we first visit Hazrat Shahjalal (RA) Dargah Sharif and then proceed to Hazrat Shah Paran (RA) Dargah. While going to Shahi Eidgah, govt MC college and the beauty of both sides of the road. The Jainta area of the road can be seen from a distance. The closer the car moves, the closer the mountains seem. But the mountains are part of India.

When the car goes to Jaflong, we first find a good place at Tamabil Port (where the last border of Bangladesh and Meghalaya State of India) and park the car. Bangladesh-India border, Tamabil is a hilly area, the surroundings are very charming. After visiting the border area we moved to Jaflong. Jaflong's beauty is the natural beauty. India is on the other side of the Piyain river in Bangladesh. The water of the river is very clear and quite cold and many underwater parts can be seen. Stones are extracted from this river. We hired a boat and sat on the boat and saw the beauty of Jaflang around the Pian river and mountains. On the way from Jaflong, the car stopped at Sari Ghat. The name of the river in Sarighat is the Sari river, what can I say about the form of the Sari river? From a distance, the water of the river looks green and very clear. Everyone enjoyed the boat ride through the Sari river. We went to Lalakhal along the river. I visited here and up to zero points. I visited the tea garden in the Lalakhal area. I was bringing food cooked from home, and had food on the boat.

Bichhnakandi

We and my husband and colleague family will go for a visit to Visnakandi. We hired two auto rickshaws known to us because the road is not paved and the condition is very bad. We will go to Gowain Ghat Upazila via Salutikor via Airport Road. Gowain Ghat Upazila is surrounded by hills, springs, and forests.Ratargul (Soam Forest) is located in Gowain Ghat Upazila. It was raining a lot that day. The driver brought us to Hadarpar boat wharf. After that, you have to go by boat.

Then if you want to go to Bisnakandi, you have to go by boat for the rest of the way. We hired a boat, the river is the Piyain river. Clear rainwater from Megaloi and stones come and accumulate in the river. Stones are extracted from this river. The main attraction of this Bichnakandi is that from a distance it looks like a bed of stones and a thick cloud of white clouds on the rows of mountains. We got off the boat, it was drizzling, everyone had an umbrella in their hands and landed on the clear water rocks. Streams of clear water run over rocks. Peace of mind.

Mouluvibazar & Srimongol

One day we went with my younger brother's family to see the Madhabkundo waterfall located in the Borolekha area of Moulbibazar. The water of the fountain is cascading from a height of about 2oo feet. Sometimes stones also fall with the water. So we got wet a little away from the storm. I always take home-made food, after eating the home-made food, we went to Lauachhara Rain Forest in Srimongol. This area is quite big, walking hurts my feet. Brought a little rest to Srimangal tea garden.

When we were tired from visiting the garden, we drank seven colors of tea and took some snacks. we sat and talked for a while. It was almost 9:00 to come home.

In this way, I would prefer a guest from my father's house or my father-in-law's house, Journey. Even though it was difficult, we always had a smile on our faces.

Sylhet city

Besides, we used to take the guests to Keen Bridge in Sylhet city, tea gardens on Airport Road, Surma River, and Manipuri Markets in Lamabazar. Manipuri sarees in different colors are as beautiful to look at as they are to wear and very comfortable. I used to gift this saree to women. There are 4 of us in the family including my two sons, so the relative from Dhaka actually felt very good. Although the pressure of cooking or working was high, still I felt peace in my mind. The nearby people came very close. I hope all friends of this community will read my stories with great pleasure. It would help you visit our Sylhet city to see a natural beauty. I have wasted a lot of your time, I apologize. I will bring another story one day. I said goodbye.

BEST OF LUCK
