My Experience on Cryptocurrency!

Greetings to you, friend, and how are you doing? I trust everything is alright with you and your loved ones. Today I am so excited to take part in the contest that is organized by @sofian88 in the Steem for Betterlife community. In this post, I have shared my experience in the cryptocurrency field.

My experience in the cryptocurrency field began on August 13, 2020, which was the day that I first bought cryptocurrency from someone who transferred it to my Luno wallet, as shown in the screenshot below.

Ethereum (ETH) was the coin with which I started trading in the cryptocurrency field. At first, I was so afraid of cryptocurrency because I was surrounded by people with negative thoughts. Although, that was then shall because now I have move from a day trader to swing trader and as well scalper trader in the cryptocurrency field.

Before I bought my first cryptocurrency, I had been hearing about crypto, and Ethereum was the coin that was trending then because of the Ethereum smart contracts that people were doing. As of then, most of my friends were just discussing Ethereum smart contracts, how they used 4,000 NGN (21.3 Steem) to earn 50,000 NGN. Even with what my friends were saying about cryptocurrency, I never still believed them because I was afraid to put my money in anything that was done online.

To summarize, one faithful day, a man I don't even know messaged me on Whatsapp and asked if I was interested in cryptocurrencies. I responded positively. Next, he advised me to tell him which cryptocurrency I wanted to invest in, given that Ethereum was so well-liked at the time. We argued for a week before I finally gave in to his demands, and then I deposited him 1,000 NGN (8 steem) into his Opay account.

With that in mind, I called him right away to ask him to deliver me the Ethereum as promised after sending the money to him. He instructed me to sign up for Roqqu wallet using his referral link, but I was unable to do so.

Do you understand what transpired, friend? Before he explained to me why the money was shorted (gas fees and Luno charges), I had to contact the guy back and ask why he would take my 1000NGN (6 Steem) and deliver me Ethereum worth **NGN 737.00 (184,447 NGN/ETH) (4 Steem).

I withdrew 2,500 NGN from my 1,000 Naira investment in bitcoin, leaving me with the balance displayed above. Then, at regular intervals, I would check to see how much Ethereum had increased. To God be the glory, my first encounter with cryptocurrencies had been extremely! extremely fruitful.

As of early 2021, I had made good money from trading cryptocurrencies for myself and for others. As of the year 2022, the Nigerian government restricted all financial institutions, including banks, from performing cryptocurrency transactions, which then caused some panic in the crypto field.

Since people had disabled some functionalities of the crypto exchange in Nigeria, I went and created an account with Binance and started using the P2P method of trading on Binance, where I was even setting my stop loss and take profit. Among my friends, I was the only one who was using Binance for trading, so I then started helping people buy and sell cryptocurrency while teaching them how to trade on Binance.

As of last year, in 2022, I lost some money in the field of cryptocurrency because of the crash of FTX. Life is all about being patient and hoping for better days ahead. I wanted to forget cryptocurrency and leave the field for good because of the losses back then. Thank God I didn't make such a mistake because today I am now enjoying the cryptocurrency field.

I am using two cryptocurrency exchanges for trading cryptocurrency, and since 2020, when I began using them, I haven't encountered any difficulties in using them. The two exchanges are:

• Binance Exchange
• Roqqu Wallet

Binance exchange
