Weekly Reflections #09 : A Letter to My Future Self

Growing higher in life is what we all want to achieve. This is because everyone wants to be successful so his life story be changed for good which I so desire in this post I have discussed how I want to see myself in the future.

How do you want to see yourself in the future? (Short-term or long-term)

As a young man with big ambition who has been working so hard to achieve his dream (goal in life, I see myself in the future becoming a leader in a company and as someone who is developing his dream company.

This is a long-term achievement I need to have more knowledge, experience, training, and skills before I can get there which am working hard to get there. I see myself in the future controlling big companies both both government and private companies in my country which would allow me to also have the money to travel to my dream countries.

What challenges do you expect to face, and how do you hope to overcome them?

The challenges becoming a leader is not easy because it is what almost everyone in our society wants which will make me face the challenges of;

• Discrimination
• Finance to sponsor my learning
• Betrayer and hate from colleagues
• Temptations and so on.

However, I hope to overcome these challenges by reaming closer to God almighty who alone can show me the rightful way to overcome them.

Also, I will overcome them by minding my speech when am with my colleagues in the office, and finally, as for the issue of finance, I will seek funds from my family members and Banks to sponsor my further training and education.

What are the things that matter most to you right now?

The things that matter to me right now are:

• My health. I want to have good health because health is wealth and it is only those with good health can have the strength to lead.

• My family well-being My family and friends are my source of joy and I want them to be healthy and strong.

• Finance (Money): Right now, I need money to sponsor so many things that I have planned to achieve. Money is important to us because whatever we want to do in life, money is always involved.

Describe one lesson you learned so far that you want to carry with you into the future

As a young guy, I have learned so many things in life and I came to find out that loving myself and caring for myself first is the important thing I can do for myself because nobody can love a person the way he or she has loved him/herself.

People can pretend to love you for one or two reasons and if the thing isn't there again they will then hate you, which you can't think of hating yourself. Having said that I want to carry the love I have for myself like believing in myself, what I can do, and not listening to the criticism of people into the future.
