Hello Steem For Betterlife, I believe we all are doing great. I'm here today to share with my friends a diary of mine as of 14th December. There one quotes that says "He who plans the night masters the day", visiting my parents and siblings in the village was what I planned for some time ago and it happens I fulfill it.

The excitement of visiting your village as a student is a unique and nostalgic experience. It's a chance to reconnect with your roots, spend quality time with family, and help your parents with whatever is needed. There's often a sense of purpose, as you lend a hand with chores or other responsibilities.

That excitement of visiting your village as a student is a unique and sweet experience most people can relate as it create chance to reconnect with your roots and spend quality time with family, and as well help your parents with whatever assist needed and necessary to be done when when you around.

The journey was filled with anticipation as I am about taking back home cooked meals and food stuff to sustain and share with friends while in the campus. Will you love to read how my day was?, Below are written in detais.

Morning Activities

As was planned and scheduled to visit my parents and siblings, which I told my friend @toflex and he decision to come along with me, though we needed to visit very early in the morning but someone came up we couldn't begin the journey as planned on time.

Of course Waking up early, tidying up the room, then pray before proceeding my other routine is my normal ritual. Brushed, bath and get set. You may likely ask, why did you neglect breakfast preparation when mentioning your morning routine?. Well, waiting to prepare a breakfast would have been an extra delay as I was in a hurry to reach my destination.

Though I took some snacks and drink on our way while we were waiting for a public transit, The frustration of waiting for public transit and not being able to find it on time was one of the reason that delayed us from reaching as very early as we planned, was a bit annoying but couldn't help than waiting in patience.

The waiting seemed endless especially as we were in a rush trying to target what we were commited to already, It was like being stuck in a moment of uncertainty unsure of when we will get to our destination while the clock keeps ticking against our target.

It was then time to begin hunting for another option, we to trek a far distance from our location down to where we can find a trans. That was additional stress but we coped to achieve our schedule.

The journey to my place is not just a straight way but require multiple mode of transportation and multiple stop at different junctions, In our own case it too us two steps to arrive. One tricycle and one motorcycle.

After trekking to another location to find a trans, the first mode of trans which was tricycle was taken.

The first mode of transport The second mode of trans

It was a good moment as we got alight from the first mode of transport successful and without any waste of time we found moto-cyclist took us to our destination after the trans fair settlement.

Afternoon Activities

After a warmed welcome from my siblings and parents, I told my mom that I will love to visit my plantain plantation which I did. I went to observe the level growth of my plantain trees, getting there found me discouraging as they weren't doing Good as expected

I suggested maybe my Crops and weeds were struggling to share the soil nutrients which results in my Crops not growing as I expected, from the little knowledge and farming skill I gained, I knew that the only way to get my Crops back is to remove the unwanted weeds from my farm which I did.

It wasn't really easy understand the sun, but I tried best to clear off half of the plot. Was tired and tasty at the same time, I came back to realize it was 5pm in the the and I was hungry. The beautiful part being in the village is that fruits and vegetables are always in excess to sustain hunger especially when food are not ready.

I rushed and harvest two coconuts which I used them me and my friend to sip Garri while waiting for food to get done in short time, yummy!!!!😄. It taste as good as it supposed to be, it's been quite long I ate such combo Garri mixed with coconut water.

When I went to the farm, not long mom went to the market to buy some food stuffs to prepare my favorite soup (Afang soup). The soup is popular and regard as expensive delicacy here in my place. I Was happy, to prepare the soup faster. Mom came with idea know as division of labor where my own part is tabled below.

Wow, it sounds like you're having a wonderful time in the village! I can relate to the fun of cooking with mom and siblings. For me, I enjoy seasoning meat and fish, hahaha 😎. I think your plantain plantation could use some manure and water. You could try adding palm fruit chaff to the land and see how well they grow! Enjoy your stay, and please send my regards to your family!

Thanks very much for your meaningful comment, I'll try and apply the palm fruit chaff and watch the difference. Thanks again ma'am🙏🥰
