In this part of the world (Nigeria to be precise) the whole nation is faced with a similar situation or challenge economically and politically but in Rivers State (that's the state I reside) the government is currently working on a project which has been a major trend all over the state.
Road construction and expansion (widening of the roads)
Since early 2023 until now the government of Rivers State has been working on this project of construction and repairing of the major roads in the state and widening some others.
This project has led to the demolishing of some buildings, warehouses, etc. The state government is Keen to get the project done.
One of the roads they are focusing more on is the one that leads to the governor's hometown. The Port Harcourt- Eleme Road and that's where I took all the pictures I posted from.
In conclusion, I pray this should not lead to loss of lives due to the demolition of the buildings and also the traffic on the road now because of the ongoing construction. Let the people of Rivers State live safely this season.
