Hello, fellow stemians of this interesting community. I can see the way this community is booming because of your consistency in posting. I am also making this post to share with you how my Sunday went. I hope you enjoy my post like how I have been enjoying yours

This particular Sunday is known as Easter Sunday and is recognized by Christians all over the world.
It is a day celebrated to remember the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. During this period of Easter, a lot of churches organize conventions to remember the important event and it climaxed on Sunday with victory.

On this day, I woke up very early to do an assignment. Right after the assignment, I went to take my bath, ironed my clothes and set off for church. I met up with two other people so we could go together. I was very excited because that was the first time I was going to church (PIWC) since visiting the beautiful city of Serekunda in The Gambia.

We got to the church around 9:50 am. They had already started church service when I got there. The usher just sent me to my seat and it was a go. To my surprise, akan was being spoken in the church. I was surprised because this was a Gambian church and almost half of the population could speak the akan language.

Church was fun on this day. The church closed at around 13:00 and we set off to our hotel. The day was not yet over as we had another program to attend later in the day. we got to our hotel room, changed clothes and set off for the program because we were already running late. To throw more light, the program was organised by Ghanaians living in The Gambia. I was so excited because I was going to meet people from my home.

We got to the place and started the preparation. As the ladies started with the cooking, we went to get cassava from the farm. After this, we just went to watch a football game as the ladies continued with the cooking. It wasn't long until we were called to come and pound fufu. Fufu is a local dish made from cassava.

There was music, drinks and a whole lot. Finally, the food was ready and everyone sat around the table. Everyone was served Fufu except those who preferred to eat rice.

It was a very nice program and I wished it was going to be organised more often. The program came to an end at around 22:30 and everyone set off for their homes. I was very full when I got home but I decided to work a little bit since the next day was also a holiday.
