Hello everyone. Hope you all are having a BETTERLIFE?
Welcome to my blog. Here is my gratitude challenge.
As humans, we allow the vicissitude of life to put us in a corner that we constantly yearn for big things, especially in comparison to others, that we do not even recognize, not to talk of being grateful for the little things we're blessed with. There's so much to be grateful for in life.
I'm particularly grateful for my friend, my job, and my phone.
My friend: You see, I lost my best friend to the shrill hands of death in August last year, and it's been really hard for me to move on easily unto bonding with other friends. This my friend was like a brother. I am introverted and reserved by nature, and the only person that always made me come out of my shell was this friend.
But I met another friend (female) who has almost filled that vacuum. I call her Pumpkin. Funny she was my student in the secondary school where I use to teach, but she's graduated now. We bonded in a way I still cannot understand. Initially, I thought it was my feeling that was messing up or because of the loss of my best friend, but not at all. She was just always coming around for talks, and for some reason we talked freely. Since then she’s been present in my life. I just realized that since the beginning of this year, she's been the one checking up on me the most. I tried locking her out earlier on but now I'm grateful that I didn't do such a stupid thing.
The second thing I'm grateful for is my job. The economy of my country as it is right now isn't so good. The cost of living is suffocating the living. I am so grateful that I still got a job to wake up to every morning, and that puts food on my table. It's what most people call a “9 to 5” job, and even though I am seeking bigger and better opportunities, it has sustained me. Having a 9 to 5 job, in this present situation of the country is better than having no job at all.
The third thing I'm grateful for is my phone. This might sound ridiculous, but it’s true. I'm grateful for my phone. It's more than just a piece of technology. My phone has been my emotional support tool. Even when I don't have data to come online, I could see downloaded movies, read ebooks, play games or just listen to music. My phone has been an inseparable part of my life since the beginning of this year. Ever since my laptop malfunctioned my phone has been very useful.
Thank you @goodybest for this challenge. Indeed, there's something to be grateful for.

Amazing 🤩 it's good to learn that you appreciate your best friend to the extent of writing about her; wow 😳 (well, it does happen that some male teachers normally end up marrying their students), haha 😂 never mind me I was just pushing your legs a bit.
You must be someone who appreciates even little things and I must commend you for that. You know what? I also live in Uyo and I feel we can connect! Hop in our WhatsApp group
