Tuesday December 6th, was the last day of the round of 16. Only eight teams have been qualified to the quarter finals. So 8 other teams said good bye to the competition.

Netherlands vs USA

Netherlands is the first team to qualify for the quarter-finals.

Argentina vs Australia

The match ended with Argentina's victory over Australia 2-1.

The world champions beat Poland 3-1 as expected.

England vs Senegal

England beats Senegal and qualifies to face France in the World Cup quarter-finals. Hard luck to Senegal, you did very well I hope I could see Senegal in the quarter finals.

Croatia beats Japan by penalty shootouts, 3-1, after the end of the normal time and extra time.
Hard luck Japan, you did very well in this competition even if football is not very famous in Japan

Brazil vs South Korea

Brazil swept South Korea 4-1 as expected, even if South Korea played very well and show us their way. Brazil will face in the quarter-finals this Friday, Croatia, the vice world champion, and the winner earlier in the day in a penalty shootout against Japan.

Morocco vs Spain

The Moroccan national team achieved a historic qualification for the quarter-finals in the 2022 World Cup for the first time in the history of the Arab teams, after defeating its Spanish counterpart by penalty shootouts, 3-0, after the end of the normal time and extra time, with a goalless draw without goals.

Portugal achieved a landslide victory over Switzerland, 6-1, Ronaldo participated only in the last fifteen minutes.
