INTRODUCTION

Hello to all it's been long i dropped a diary on this place. Well this one is not just a diary, but it's an engagement contest organized by STEEM FOR BETTERLIFE. I thank you guys for giving us this kind of opportunities to talk about our 5 senses through a diary. I hope you all read and enjoy it.

Dear Diary,

I woke up this day as early as 5am and after my meditation, i had to rush to church for our youth prayers which began at 6am. I brushed up, put on my pullover because of the cold i felt and went downstairs to call up for those my youths, I arrived and saw they were still very asleep and tired 🤣 i took one of them who was ready and we got a bike together to church.

As we arrived church prayers were already going on. It was powerful and hot in that place. I felt the presence of God all over the place. The ruling president was the one leading the prayers so i got in and we prayed together. After some time, she asked me to conclude with the leading of the prayers. What i did wholeheartedly and we left for the elder's place to wash some curtains.

After that place, myself and two sisters left the place for the market where they had to purchase the stuff for the chicken and the rice for the next day. I was with them coz i was the only man and fowls were waiting for me to be fixed in that place. We began buying and buying and trust ladies with bargaining 🤣

We spent much time in the market buying and bargaining, then i got all two bags of spices which we purchased to the pastor's house. I arrived and the pastor was on his way out with the wife so i greeted them and went straight to the kitchen. Well while on the kitchen i smelled a sweet aroma of rice and beans which is my favourite meal of all times.

I was yet looking for firewood when I noticed that all the firewood in the kitchen was wet and not well dry. I struggled with that and succeeded in lighting up the fire. While i dud that, a sister served me food and i sat to taste how that food was actually. And it didn't disappoint, the food tasted just as i smelled. It was Splendid 🔥

While i ate, we chatted over issues of life and so on. I was with the assistant pastor's wife who got married just last December. A little girl but she was already advising her fellow ladies on how to go about marriage. Me as the only guy around i was just quiet and analysing till i began asking questions 🤣. Trust me i have very disturbing questions when you seem to talk about a subject you don't know much about with so much boldness.

It was amazing to hear how christian sisters thought! Infact their philosophies were purely carnal🤣💔. I threw my questions and threw them again. Then i began to kill and fix the fowls. There were 10 fowls to be fixed, cleaned and sliced to pieces. I did so and a sister had fixed and ground the spices already. I then used the spices to season then meat. Have you noticed that each time you touch a fowl to kill it, it looks like it communicates to you? While seasoning, the spices got into my eyes, but thank God there was flowing water to stop the pain i felt. It was hard to get rid of that pain.

The fowls were on the fire and i was waiting. Then our pastor came back with the kids to shave them. He began shaving them and the last born son was worrying him. He waited for a while for the fowl to be ready and finally ate some of the liver and he commanded and i served him. How did i know the liver was ready? I touched it eventually and even tasted it to know how it tasted. The aroma of that chicken was "oh my God!"

When he finished, he was again on his way to church to go get his wife who was doing choir practice and fixing the church. I stayed back home with the kids because all the sisters around also were choristers. I stayed there fixing these stuff and decided to cook the meat for the rice and cut it into pieces. It was almost 8pm already and i was so tired.

I thought of beginning to fry the chicken but i was tired. And there came a sister from Bafoussam who asked me where i was coz she wanted to travel to Dschang and stay with the pastor. She was like a saviour already. While we discussed, i was in the parlour with the kids because one of them was angry i didn't give them garri to drink.

I tried my best to convince and play with her fir her to be funky again as she was. We played and i bribed her with some chicken. Then she was calm finally. We then came together and took a group picture.

While we took the picture, sis Dorcas called me and told me she was already around. Oh i was relieved, it was long i felt that relief. She finally came and we greeted. I miss this sister. She is cool to be with. So as she went and changed to her attire, i went back to the kitchen to fix the fire fir the chicken frying. I prepared all and we began the frying together.

We were still in the frying when the pastor came back at about 10pm and i live so far from the house. I had to begin looking for how to leave. Thank God the assistant padyor was around. And since i was already late to go back to my friend's place at that time because of the dogs they release at 10pm, i decided to go to church instead. The assistant pastor took me on his bike to church and that's where I slept, because i had to be on time forir the morning prayers with the youths the next morning.

CONCLUSION

Thank you all for reading my long long diary as usual😅 i have cut the story short for the same of your eyes today.
