Contrary to popular belief, education is not the sole mode of learning. There are various individuals who believe that literacy is a step stone to education. For instance, if a person knows how to read and write, he should be considered literate. However, can he be considered well-educated if the information he gained through his actions would be reflected in his actions?

If a person uses abusive language and doesn’t care about the consequences, then he or she shouldn’t be considered an educated individual. Education can only end once a person gets old. Although many people know how to cook, not all of them are called chefs. Also, despite having a good understanding of the various components of a car, most drivers are not perfect. Having the necessary skills and knowledge to be a good driver can only be achieved by acquiring good practice.

Education can only contribute to the development of a country. It is not uncommon for people to have a good understanding of certain concepts in their lives. However, do most of them practice them in real life and daily activities?

WHAT THEN IS LITERACY.

In a wider sense, literacy refers to the ability to effectively communicate through various means. Although different cultures have their own perceptions of this skill, it is widely believed that reading comprehension is a requirement for most people. Developing a child’s literacy skills can be done both at home and school. One of the best ways to improve his or her reading habits is by encouraging him or her to use the library more.

Education is a broad concept that takes into account the various facets of a person's personality.

For instance, it aims to make a person rational and competent in order to solve scientific problems. In most primitive cultures, education is not provided in formal schools. Instead, their environment provides them with enough education to enable them to survive in harsh conditions

Education is not about degrees and certificates. It is about making people reflect on how they relate to life. Entitled as indoctrination, it aims to teach people what they should think and believe.

Education opens the mind and allows the mind to critically engage with various ideas. An educated person would be someone who is searching for truth and who values people and things around them. Although education is often regarded as the key to liberating the mind and solving global problems, it also comes in the traditional sense.

For us, education means a set of rules and procedures that guide us through various bits of knowledge or information that we need to digest and test our understanding. In a world that is constantly changing, maybe it's time to rethink our notions about education.
