Steemit Engagement Challenge S3-W3: A little bit of motivation can go a long way

This world is filled with stress and a lot of vices that can demotivate one. I hear of people committing suicide, I hear of people say that they can't go on again, I hear them become discouraged many times.

The world's condition is such that gives one reasons to be demotivated. It is as the wise word puts it at 2Timothy 3:1:

But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here.

Critical times are here now and as such, we face so many problems and difficulties. We have the ones that are caused by our fellow humans and the ones we cause for ourselves.

However, just like the title of this engagement challenge puts it, a little bit of motivation can go a long way. This means that despite the challenging circumstances that we are facing in our daily lives, we can continue living if we get just a little bit of motivation.

I love this topic a lot because it is timely. I personally feel demotivated some times and I feel like not continuing in my journey or endeavors.

Motivation? Yes, this is the word. Whether little or big can perform the magic. It can keep us going. This word means anything that can make us to be willing to keep going.

Cartoon characters are motivating. They can glue one to his seat for long. I often join my kids to watch most of them. Because of how interesting they are, one feels motivated to keep watching and observing them. They also have a lot to teach us as humans in terms of motivation. For the purpose of this contest, I have decided to chooseOlaf frozen and Merida Brave.

Some people are worth melting for

This character is a motivator to his friends in the carton. He is the friendliest and fun to be with. Because he doesn't die, he always serves as a motivator to those he is with. He is sincere, innocent, outgoing and fun to be with. Hence, no matter the adventure, so long as he is present, hardly will one feel demotivated. This is the type of friend one needs in life. I have chosen him because he is just what one needs at that stressful time to keep holding on.

As a snow, Olaf frozen can stick to his friends even when it involves that he will melting. That means that he is a friend that can stick to his friends at all times irrespective of the situation. He is ready to even die for his friends so long as they will keep going.

This is a motivational quote. It shows that when one is motivated even a little, he can face any Challenge. That means, till death, one keeps holding on and not give up.

Merida Brave

Our fate lies within us, we only need to be brave to see it

This quote is similar to what the meaning of the words at Proverbs 24:10:

If you become discouraged in the day of distress, Your strength will be meager.

This character is just what one needs to be in this difficult time. No matter how others motivate you, if you don't stay motivated then you won't keep going. The best motivation is the one we give to ourselves.

Merida Brave is that character that is strong-willed. She is very brave and stands up for herself even when everyone is against her. She is determined to bring out the best in her and to succeed in life.

All of us have that strong will in us to keep moving. We only need to be strong to realize it.

In times of distress, being brave will make us stronger and we will realize that we can be able to cope and keep moving and not give up unlike when one lacks that bravery and then the thought of discouragement will set in which, at the extreme, some resort to suicide. Never give up is simply the meaning of that quote.

True, a little bit of motivation, whether from a friend or within can go a long way.

Life is already complicated. Without a motivation, one can easily give up. Motivation gives one the willingness to continue. It helps one to pass through difficult situations and thus bring out the best in the person. Instead of cutting corners or looking for an easy way out which often leaves one discouraged when there is no short cut, motivation even a little bit of it keeps one going. It is simply hope.

When we pass through difficult situations, we are refined and we become stronger. And we will have more confidence in ourselves.

But let endurance complete its work, so that you may be complete and sound in all respects, not lacking in anything. James 1:4

True to the word I just cited above, motivation helps one to endure and enduring difficult times helps us to be sound in all respect and complete. So, a little bit of motivation can go a long way.

Why is motivation important to you as a person?

As a person, I value motivation a lot. It keeps me going, it keeps me pushing, it makes me brave and I keep succeeding no matter what. There are a lot of people that will want you to succeed and there are many that will want to see your end or your downfall. Those ones that will want to see your downfall will keep bringing obstacles to your way, thereby making your journey very difficult that at times, giving up appears to be the only option available. But a little bit of motivation from well meaning friends and the one I give myself is what keeps me going without which I would have given up even in my steemit Journey. I have received a lot of motivations from so many friends here in steemit. Some of which I solicit for while some just give me when they notice how demotivated I am. Such friends are treasured in my heart. They are dynamites that come in small box.

With motivation, I can be able to motivate others.

With motivation, i can think clearly and remain focused.

With motivation, I can be productive. Life itself is not rosy. I have personally not been treated fairly by life but I am moving forward due to motivation.

Do you motivate others? Give two examples

By iron, iron itself is sharpened. Being motivated gives me the energy to motivate others. I am an instrument of motivation to a lot of people including fellow steemians. I have motivated a lot of people both as a group and as individual. Directly or indirectly, I have been instrumental to a lot of users being active here in steemit. I love it when my fellow users succeed alongside me. I have motivated both small and great, online and offline.

@patjewell is a good example of those I motivated. His success in steemit today is a testimony of what good motivation can do. Helping one to find a way around steemit is a motivation on its own. She is the best presently so long as steemit is concerned but wasn't, way back before I met her. I am proud of her. She also has been motivating me too and I am grateful that we met here in steemit.

On group level, the African women are staying active because I contribute my own quota to motivate them in our whatsapp group and from my activities. I organize zoom meeting with them, some times I share my earnings with those who are active, sometimes I organize a training session online to educate and motivate them.

Most of them will testify to this. I also call or chat them up to know how they are faring especially those that have been inactive. @hannybanny is one of such that just recently received motivation from me after being away for sometimes, she has just returned and made her post.

Because I am always motivated by others when I am down or demoralized, I also seek to motivate others. That is the only way to enjoy my steemit Journey because it is not a journey I will walk alone. I must walk with fellow users because I need them.

What habits can you create to increase motivating yourself?

🪴Call, chat, massage my fellow users who are not active can increase motivation. When I shift my mind from my own troubles and focus on helping others, I increase my motivation.

🪴Prayer and meditation especially on positive things increases motivation. The words at Philippians 4:8 is the key to staying motivated

Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are of serious concern, whatever things are righteous, whatever things are chaste, whatever things are lovable, whatever things are well-spoken-of, whatever things are virtuous, and whatever things are praiseworthy, continue considering these things.

🪴 Recreational activities with family and friends can help

🪴 Learning new skills or improving the skills we have can be a source of motivation.

🪴 Obedience to our creator and relying on him for directions is the greatest source of motivation. Being the creator of life, he understands us better. He has also promised of a world free of worries, stress and critical situations. Anchoring our hope on those wonderful promises will surely increase our motivation
