Save The Earth; Reviving fallen suckers to save the Earth from food shortage and as well as increase the supply of oxygen

Greetings steemian and members of this community, I am privileged to participate in this contest today.

THE BEST TIME TO PLANT IS NOW

The aftermath of everything we do on earth today must surely have a reflection in our lives whether we like it or not. Back in those days, our parents didn't suffer the ailment we suffered because the activities performed today by man are different from what was done in those days. Imagine the amount of monoxide that has been released into the atmosphere before industrialization and recent upgrades in technology. These things tend to affect humans simply because the population of humans has increased multiple times than how it used to be and as these things take place countless numbers of humans move toward this area of technological advancement which eventually becomes detrimental to their health.

HOW IT ALL BEGAN

So today, after thinking of a new strategy to save the earth. Something very special resonated with me that was after I looked at the increase in the prices of commodity products in our locality. I decided to take a step in saving the earth from famine. Famine occurs as the population of a place increases and it also occurs because of man's unwillingness to cultivate the little farm around.

It's a farming season in Nigeria but presently people are so focused on planting cassava, so I decided to plant something different and this is plantain. Plantain is planted through suckers. It is actually an annual crop just like cassava but the difference between these two is that the method of processing plantain to give an edible substance is far easier than cassava, another benefit here is that you won't keep on planting every year like cassava, since it is planted with suckers, a sucker will keep on generating another sucker and that's how the process keeps moving.

Apart from planting this for personal consumption, the benefit of this is that plantain leaves have some much greenery, they can survive in an extended dry season and with this oxygen can still be supplied to mankind because it leaves don't shade like other plants do. So planting trees helps curtail the number of monoxide and other harmful gases released into the atmosphere and planting can also increase the food supply in our nation this is one activity I decided to perform as part of saving the earth from famine and increasing oxygen supply.
