Does gender play a role in our everyday life?

Gender consists of two sex as we all know, male and female, as such each sex plays an important role in our everyday life, it will interest you to know that gender plays a big role.

In the olden years, women were subjected to housework or anything related to work that require less labor, women are not seen as the strong sex as such they are termed as the weaker sex. this has caused a lot of controversies as women believe that equality should be established between both genders.

In recent years till now, women are seen in difficult fields where they work as forces, engineers, politicians, and many other fields that we think are only meant for men

As a man, it is expected of you to be brave, strong, agile, and focus on taking on the responsibilities of the house, men are seen as the stronger vessel because they can do all sorts of hard labor

As you can see both have the roles they play in our daily lives,

Another role gender plays in our lives is reproduction, without the role of each gender we can not have a world, as both genders are important and equal rights should be established between males and females.

How does the role or function in your country differ from gender to gender?

The role of women in my country Nigeria is limited to that of a man even though equality between them are already beginning to occur, there is still some setback or rather maybe the process is slow as they are not fully on the track to equal men in every aspect of life.

In education, gender equality is good in Nigeria, we all attend school and further in education to the level at which we are satisfied, and as such gender equity regarding education is equal.

I think in terms is law, there is equality, and the rights of a man are equal to that of a woman, which was not so years back, but now we see women in the military, engineering, politics, and medicine but slowly gaining recognition in those fields.

But still, as they both joined forces, women are limited to facing war as they are always posted as office officers

Gender equality in terms of ethnicity differs and this is the most essential part for women, the role of a woman in their ethnic group differs, in some cultures, a woman is restricted to some certain thing which till now it cannot be allowed.

Generally, women are to be submissive to men, they are regarded as helpmates while the man is known as the breadwinner of the house, which provides the necessary needs of the house

Men are stronger vessels because they are subjected to difficulties and hardships while women are termed as weaker vessels, because of their lack of strength, agility, and power.

Women play also play an important role that a man can never be able to perform, that is reproduction, this is a role that can only be carried out by the female gender and it is a very important role that makes the world to be in existence.

Over the years, women are limited to housework, but this is beginning to change in recent years, the process is just slow to gain gender equality and they are more favorable in any form of work or exercise that combines both genders.

Is it the same for other countries?

My knowledge about this is based on words on social media, I know that some countries don't agree with gender equality, in short, their women are limited to house works and nothing more.

They are not allowed to do work or labor, rather than being a housewife, in countries like Afghanistan Somalia, and North Korea.

It saddens me to know that such acts still occur, in this era of work where almost all countries are practicing equal rights among genders, we still have such countries that restrict women of equity, well one could think it might be for preferential treatment but I doubt this is the reason.

Whereas in this era we see women who are managers, lawyers, teachers, nurses, doctors, ministers, and directors, doing so well in many fields with perfection.

What about Steemit?

It is not a question that needs to be debated, we all know in this platform equality is the same for both genders, It requires your hard work to see the favor that you seek,

Here the discrimination that women are weaker and men are stronger doesn't imply here, as you work hard and smart you earn more.

Gender equality in Steemit is the same, there is no form of favoritism in any gender, it is not a gender-biased platform, it requires contribution, dedication, consistency, and patience, and adhering to the instructions of the Steemit team will see to the growth and successfulness of a steemian

By doing powerups and investing anyone can make a user more successful which is nowhere related to gender, several users are supported and this is based on their effort, diligence, and contribution to the platform and not because they are male or female.
