Weekly Reflections #23: 2024 in Pictures

It's @owulama from Nigeria and I'm delighted to join this wonderful contest organized by @damithudaya in this amazing community.
It's a wonderful contest and I love to share my participation in it.

Introduction
Taking pictures are so important as it serves as memories and keeps reminding us of the beautiful moments we once had. Pictures can be used to communicate ideas, convey emotions, tell stories and most importantly preserve amazing memories.

I will be sharing four pictures that captures my most memorable moments this year 2024 with you all. I urge us all to keep reading through as I will be giving brief story about each of the four pictures I will be sharing. Enjoy while reading through😍

The First Picture

The picture above is one of the pictures my friend who gave me money to go plait my hair snapped immediately I returned from the salon.

On this faithful morning,, my neighbor who happens to be my friend saw how old the hair I was carrying looked and he said why haven't I made new one. I told him I was not having money to make new hair that's why I haven't lose the old one on my hair.

He immediately asked me to lose the hair and said that he was going to give me money to go make new one at the salon. Initially I thought he was just joking, but when I saw the seriousness on his face, I decided to lose the old hair. He transferred money to my account immediately I was done losing the hair and asked me to go make my hair.

I rushed to salon and made the hair. Few hours later, the hair dresser was done making my hair, I paid her for the service she rendered and I returned home.

On reaching home, my friend really loved the hairstyle and He asked me to stand so he can snap me few pictures. But because I was so happy,, I couldn't even stand, He was busy snapping me as I was helplessly blushing because of the compliments coming from him🤭🤭. He really put a smile on my face that particular day and I won't forget it in a hurry🥰🥰.

The Second Picture

The second picture I will be sharing with you all is the picture I snapped few hours to my final exams.

My sign out day is one of the most memorable days I had this year. I got dressed and went to a nearby shop and bought marker for my sign out, before I headed to school. I arrived at school two hours before my final exams scheduled time because I wanted to go to the library to revise all that I have read before the commencement of the exams.

While I was in the library studying,,, few of my coursemate and friends came in and saw me reading, they all shouted OUR BRAIN BOX na your hand we dey today ooo,, I turned, smiled at them and continued studying.

And in Less than an hour time, I was told that the examiners have arrived with the questions paper. On my way coming out of the Library,, one of my friend saw me and liked the white i was wearing and my appearance. So He asked me to post so he can snap me few pictures before they stain my white with the marker after exams.

The Third Picture

This picture is the one and only picture I have with makeup. I am team natural and hardly put makeup on.

My elder sister's birthday was in two days time, and I have been contemplating on what to for her in order to make her birthday this year a momeorable one. After so much thought,, I finally decided to take her for a pre birthday snapshot, I talked to her and she was super excited to here that her babygirl is taking her for pre-birthday shoots.

She took her bath and we went to the studio together for her makeup and birthday shoots.
But something I didn't planned for happened at the studio, after the makeup artist was done making my elder sister up, she asked me to come sit so she can make me up as well.

Initially, I refused because I am not a fan of makeup, but after much persuasion from the makeup artist, I finally decided to sit down for her to make me up. My makeup was free because she wanted using my face for her makeup advert, but I paid for my sister's makeup. After snapping pictures inside the studio, I decided to come out to take one shoot with my camera wearing my eye glass.

So this particular picture is one of my best picture of the year and a memorable one at that. My first picture with makeup!..😊😊

The Fourth Picture

I am a Sunday school teacher and there is no Sunday that passes by that I don't snap pictures with my Sunday school students. But this particular picture was taken on a very special Sunday after a little quiz competition in the Sunday school class.

I organized a quiz competition for my students to see if they are really learning and have been understanding my teaching all this while. I was so impressed by their performance, I felt fulfilled knowing that my students are learning so fast.
After the quiz competition, I decided to snap with only those that did very well.
