A DEFINING MOMENT IN MY LIFE AND HOW IT AFFECTED ME.

Hello and a warm good afternoon to all my fellow steemians in this community, its my pleasure to take part in this reflective contest based on the defining moment of my life organised by @goodybest.

As a person there are so many defining moments in my life. One of such moment was way back in my school days when i was chosen out of the many student in the school to represent the school in an event organised by the Ministry of Education and each of the representative was asked to deliver a speech on behalf of the entire school in front of a large crowd of parents and top government officials. Uptil today when i think back on the moments i heard my name as a representative of the school, I keep on asking myself: WHY ME?
That particular incidence affected my life positively, in that it helped me to realise that my hard work and efforts as a student did not go unnoticed, that I was truly valued by so many people, and that alone inspired me to do more.

Another defining moment in my life as person was when I won a very big and huge contract. That was to supply rental materials for one of the major medical outfit in my area. It was something I never expected given the number of reputable companies that also bidded for the same contract.
That incident I must say had a positive impact in my life. One of such was that I was able to acquire so many properties from the profits of the contract which was not easy before, and most importantly wining that contract really boostered my confidence and emboldend me to apply for bigger contracts than ever before.

THE MOST DEFINING MOMENTS IN MY LIFE AND
HOW IT HAS AFFECTED MY LIFE

The most outstanding moment of my life as a person was the very moment I came in contact with my wife.
I can't forget that cloudy sunday morning. I was determined to attain my christian meeting when suddenly it started raining and i was so much in need of assistance. After taking shelter from a nearby store i saw this beautiful well- dress lady who was about to passby with a big umbrella and i decided to ask her for help. I can't forget what she said to me in reply:'If You Are Going My Way Then Why Not". As we progressed along the way I realised that we two were heading to the same venue but differnt halls. After the meeting I thanked her for assisting me, and we exchanged contacts. The rest i must say is history.

 HOW THIS MOMENT AFFECTED MY LIFE

Before this moment in my life I never thought of getting married or starting a family so early in life. I and my cirlce of friends believed that before a man gets married and starts a family he should have a nice paying job, a comfortable house of his own or at least a nice apartment, a nice car and many other things that will make life more comfortable. But ever since the day i met my wife and we became close friends my perception and focus in life changed. I realised that I was more happy and focus whenever I was with her and nothing in life made sense without her, as such I was very determined to make her mine for life and thank God I did.

Each time I reflect on this particular moment in my life, I always feel so happy and proud. Because through the help of my wife i have become a more better person than I was before I met her, I have also been able to achieve many of my dreams earlier in life than expected. Together we have raised three lovely children, built a house of our own

though still work in progress and I strongly believe that with her by my side WE shall do exploits.
So in all, I want to say that the most defining moment of my life was when i met my lovely wife.
